And the Story Begins

Our journey has offically begun.

Day 1 is over and boy I am glad. The wait was HORRIBLE.

Everyone ask "How are you doing?" "Are you ok?". FYI...don't ask this is a huge pet peeve of mine.

Otherwise my response is, "I'm fine!"

Really...I'm heart broken. I am emotionally a mess. Give me time.

Some people "Get it" some people just don't. Oh well. They'll learn.

My boys...They're good, but Big Boy already misses his Papi.

Life moves forward from here.

God is good.

Meltdown #1

Oh boy what a day it has been. It has been one of THOSE days. Breezy was off work so most of the day was spent on the go.

We woke up to NO hot water this morning which threw me into a complete fit. We cloth diaper, Friday is diaper washing day. No hot water meant that diapers would have to wait UGHHHHH! No hot water also meant that I would go without a shower today or at least until tonight. We called the housing office and they were here before 1000 but thankfully my handy husband had already solved the problem.

We were out the door by 1025.

Today was "Bring Your Parents to School" day so we had lunch with Big Boy at school and then spent some time with him on the playground. I am in his classroom at least 1 day a week (this week 2)volunteering so I decided that we wouldn't stay all day and let some of the other parents hang out. He was thrilled that Daddy came to have lunch with him. He kept kissing me at lunch. It melted my heart, but at the same time I was thinking, he won't want to do this before long. :-(

We had a few things to take care of at the Post Exchange so we picked the little fella from his NeeNee's house and took him with us. He sure was good. Daddy bought him some big boy tennis shoes and he was running and jumping all over the place. It was precious! He is growing up so fast. He is still a short little fella but he sure does have a big personality.

I had a cup of Starbucks to get my boost of energy! Lucky girl!!!

We are moving into a new home soon so I spent the afternoon packing up a few boxes and getting our "Recycle/Dump" trip items ready to go for tomorrow. A sweet man from our church and his granddaughter (who is also our babysitter) are coming over to help us get the stuff taken are of. Sweet boy napped from 1-4:30 so I was able to get a lot done and even snuck in some Days of Our Lives. Thank goodness!

We got ready to dress for Karate and Big Boys uniform pants were covered in mud...REALLY? I guess that what happens when I left Big Boy talk me into walking to and from the SKIES building. Thank goodness his instructor understood that it was Mom's fault for not washing his uniform before today. Sorry dude, mom's mind is in 100 places. I have a few other things that are a little more important to worry about.

Tonight we spent some time with our new landlords. They are some of the kindest people we've ever met. They are leaving to go to the South for a year or 2. We look forward to taking care of their home while they are away. They are coming back to Colorado once his time in another state is done. I'll share some photos of the house eventually.

Daddy took us to eat BBQ sammies for dinner @ Bird Dog BBQ and it was delish! I think Breezy and I ate 3 pounds of Fried Okra! It's our favorite along with some sweet tea!

Now, were FINALLY home for the night. We converted Brudder's bed to a toddler bed tonight and he's sleeping peacefully like a big boy! When I was putting his diaper on before I laid him down I almost had a total meltdown. I've been on the edge of a meltdown for about 5 days and when it does finally come...WATCH OUT! It could be bad.
Let's cross our fingers that both boys sleep in tomorrow. This momma could us at least 1 more hour of sleep! Tomorrow's a big day the Bronco's are gonna play some ball and I need to be coherent enough during the game to not need a nap!

What NOT to Say....

I spent some time today looking online for things you shouldn't say to Military Spouses when their soldier is serving abroad. Many people would never know, but I actually get offended when many of these questions are asked. I shared with my co-worker recently the following things after attending a Military Ministry Partnership meeting together.

1. Don't ask me how I am. I'll let you know.
2. If I seem distant and quiet, just let me be alone.
3. If I need to talk about the deployment, I will. When I'm ready.
4. If my office door is closed, don't knock. More than likely I want to be alone.
5. Sometimes my brain will be in lala land, just leave me there. I'll come back!
6. Don't worry about me. This isn't my first go-round. I'll be fine.

I'm sharing these things with you now as a general list of No, No's! I've collected them from several other military bloggy wives!

1. “Aren’t you afraid that he’ll be killed?”
Yes, everyday I am afraid. There is not a day that it doesn't cross my mind.

2. “I don’t know how you manage. I don’t think I could do it.”
If you don't think you could do it DON'T. My husband and I made the decision together to be a military family. We knew that the army life for us meant being apart more than being together. I didn't ask for your opinion...SORRY!

3. “At least he’s not in Iraq.”
War is over in Iraq my friend but it's still going on in other places and out of choices A. B. and C. he's probably in one of three.

4. “Do you think he’ll get to come home for Christmas/anniversary/birthday/birth of a child/wedding/family reunion, etc?”
Don’t you watch the news? No! They don’t get to come home for any of these things. Please don’t ask again.

5. “What are you going to do to keep yourself busy while he’s gone?”
Life goes on. I have 2 children. I work part time. I attend school 9 hours a week. I am going to be teaching 3 hours a week of dance/jazzercise classes. I volunteer at my son's elementary school 3-5 hours a week. I don't have to worry about being busy!

6. “How much longer does he have until he can get out?”
We'll my husband is a career Military Man. We just need to get through the next 12 months! It's all or nothing for our family.

7. “This deployment shouldn’t be so bad, now that you’re used to it.”
We do learn how to cope. We figure out ways to make life smooth and consistent. You never get used to your spouse being at war. The worry NEVER goes away. 500 minutes of every day are spent thinking about your spouse, talking to your spouse (if POSSIBLE), writing letters/emails to your spouse, praying for your spouse, talking to your children about your spouse. It is what it is...but easy is an understatement.

8. “My husband had to go to Europe for business once for three weeks. I totally know what you’re going through.”
No, really you don't. Your husband was gone for 3 weeks, Flying First Class, eating 3 hot meals a day, taking a shower in an actual bathroom and sleeping in a queen sized bed. My husband flew on a military flight that was jammed packed with soldiers,will be gone for 12 or 14 months, is sleeping on a twin sized cot or in a "coffin",taking a shower in a make shift bathroom where 20 other guys are showering as well, and is doing his best to get in 3 meals (in between sleeping, working 14 hour days and trying to stay sane.)

9. “Wow you must miss him?”
Well of course I do but your reminders are not necessary!

10. “Where is he exactly? Where is that?”
Well my husband is serving abroad. Unfortunately due to OPSEC or Operation Security I am unable to share that information with you. I want to protect my family and my huband.

11. “Well, he signed up for it, so it’s his own fault whatever happens over there.
Yes, he did sign up all on his own. Do you hear him complaining? NOPE! He knew what he was signing up for when he signed the papers almost 7 years ago.

12. “Don’t you miss sex! I couldn’t do it!”
Military spouses learn quickly that our relationships must be founded on something greater than sex. We learn to appreciate the important things. The hard truth is, most relationships probably couldn’t withstand 12 months of sex deprivation.)

13. “Well in my opinion…..”
Really, your opinion matters but please keep it to yourself.

14. “OH, that’s horrible…I’m so sorry!”
No need to be sorry he's doing his job!

If you want to say anything at all the safest thing would be nothing at all OR "Thank You", "I'm praying for you", "What can I do to lighten your load?". Simple is good but often times silence is better!

Going, Going, Gone!

Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years have come and gone.
Today is day #4 of the new year and the days until Breezy will be leaving are getting closer and closer. I've decided that I am going to make the most of this deployment for the sake of my family, especially our boys. I did not make a New Years Resolution because like most people, I didn't want to make a resolution to do something and not be able to hold up to it. I did set some goals for myself though;

1. Settle into a good, consistent routine with the boys so that we can all function withouth loosing our heads. (This includes Skyping with Daddy as often as possible!)

2. Attend a Small Group Bible Study once a week outside of weekly ministry responsibilities at FBC.

3. Work-Out 4 of 7 days a week (Zumba, Tredmill, Jazzercise, walking or biking).

4. Be debt free with a nice amount of $$ in savings by Jan. 2013 (excluding Car Payments and School Loans).

Realistic right? I thought so!

I'm off to get this house in order so that I can spend the evening with my Breezy! I'm making my nephew Jason's famous Grilled Shirmp with Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes for dinner.I'll share the reciepe another day.

Just What the Dr. Ordered!

I told you guys earlier this week that I had not had much free time to blog but I think I'm on the way to "blogger-rehab".

The biggest reason for my sudden withdrawl happened unintentionally. I mentioned in my last post that I was offered a postion at First Baptist Church of Colorado Springs in March of 2011. I started on April Fool's day and before I knew it, it was time for my 90 do evaluation. Time was flying. Ministry was happening in full force. Easter was here, school ended, summer came and went, school started, Fall Festival has come and gone and now I'm one worn out little lady. I absolutely love my job but as any one in ministry can tell you, there comes a time when a time of refreshment is much needed. I am thankful that my co-workers have recognized this and have given me the oppurtunity to have some time off. So in order for me to get some down time, I have flown to Alabama with my 2 Breezy Boys, from our home in Colorado to spend 16 days with our families. I'll spend 10 days with my parents and 6 days wtih Breezy's. He's planning to join us in Florida this weekend. YAY!!!!!

I'm breaking the ice now by telling you all that once again my dear Breezy is heading back overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He is scheduled to leave early in the New Year. Unfortunately, because we are avaiation we will not make the 9 month cut off. He will be away for 12 months. We are both in pre-deployment mode and are trying to prepare ourselves for what the next 13 months will hold for us. I hope that you will join me in our journey. I will be blogging just like I did the last go round.

I'm out of time. My sweet boys and I are heading to Krispey Kreme in our jammies for some donuts and chocolate milk! They both decided that 6 a.m. was a good wake up time today. Nap time won't come quick enough.

It's Been a Long Time...But It's Time

Friends,Friends,Friends.....

I have thought for weeks that I would find the time to start blogging again about the craziness that I like to call my life. Unfortunately, due to just that, I have not had time until now to sit down and really wrap my mind around all of the things that were/are going on.

I think I'll bring you up to speed from March 2011:

March: Wes was working alot already. We still did not have our household goods but we were slowly making our house a home. I interviewed and was hired for a job as the Children's Ministry Coordinator at FBC Colorado Springs. Clark started preschool at 1st Presbyterian Church and began to make new friends.

April: On April Fool's day I started my new job at FBC. Just in time for the Easter busyness. Carsn started Mother's Morning out at 1st Pres. 2 days a week. My parents were able to come for a 10 day visit. Our household goods arrived. We visited the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the Dinosaur Resource Center. Registered Clark for Kindergarten. Clark can tell the Easter Story from beginning to end and it just thrills my heart. He is insistent that he has asked Jesus to live in his heart and we believe that he has. We will begin working with him on the aspects of that and lead him slowly in the next steps of baptisim.

May: Carsen Lee turned 1 years old. We celebrated with a Goldfish birthday party. Clark graduted from preschool. Carsen is still staying very sick so we spent many days and evenings in the Drs. office trying to figure out the cause for his consistent cold/diarreah. We have a new Nanny and my boys love her. Carsen calls her JuJu!

June: I was consummed in June with VBS. We had an amazing turn out I was well pleased with the VBS materials that were chosen for 2011. I work 80 hours a month, this month I worked close to 150. I know I was ready for a break when June was finally over. I'm already in a VBS way of thinking and it's only November.

July: I fell down the stairs of our basement and broke my right arm. Lucky Me! Sista,Sista came for a vist. It had been WAY TO LONG since we had last seen here. My boys wrapped around her finger very quick! We visited Garden of the Gods. Me and the little Breezy's went to camp in Woodland Park. We had 8 children and youth from FBC attend. Several decisions were made by our Kids and it thrilled my heart. Clark absolutely loved camp and is already looking forward to going back in 2012.

August: We began test this month fo find out what Carsen's allregies are; dairy, pet dander, dust mites, nicotine and strawberries. We are still discovering other things that his little tummy can not tolerate. School started for Clark and Mommy this month.We love Clark's Kindergarten teacher. She is my age and LOVES books and music! My kind of teacher. I am attending classes at PPCC, hoping to finish this degree in Early Childhood Education.

September: Clark is the big 5.He is 60 pds and bright as he's always been! School is going well for both of us. I am doing my practicum in 2 different schools and staying very busy! On 9-11 we voted to begin a process in our churh called BridgeBuilding. It's been tough but it'll either make us or break us. Fall Festival Planning is in full force. More testing for Little boy.

October: Clark is playing soccer and is doing a fantastic job. I love to watch him interact with his buddies. Family photos and fall festival happened before Halloween. I was told by older congregation memebers that this was the biggest Fall Festival that has taken place at FBC in many years. Sista,Sista has come for another visit and it was a total surprise. LOVE YOU SISTA. Thank JuJu and Wes for making everything fall into place. We are all so busy.

November: We're on a short vacation. Spending some time in AL and FL with our familes. It's Military Family Appreciation Month and Veterans Day. Carsen is going to get his first haircut with Auntie G today and then Grammy is taking the boys to get their photos made today. Best event of all besides getting to fly home to see our families..My very best, childhood friend married her prince charming tonight! Beautiful ceremony and tons of fun reception. I'll have photos to share soon.

I hate that I have had to take some time away but it is time for me to come back in full force. Our lives will be changing again very soon and I know that you guys are always such an amazing support and are always curious as to what is going on with The Breezy's.

Let's Keep it Simple!

Our family eats "Tex-Mex" of some kind at least once a week. I'd love to broaden the meat intake of my boys but unfortunately, for the most part, they'll only eat boneless chicken/turkey breast, ground beef/turkey and on occasion steak. Since they are so selective our menu options are also somewhat limited. I try not to make the same meal more than once in a month. Therefore, I am constantly searching for new, simple, quick and wallet friendly recipes. Here are two that we've had this week that you are sure to enjoy...WARNING: They are not very healthy but with a few minor changes they could be.

Doritos Casserole with Garlic Rice
From the Kitchen of Kasi Sellers (Best Neighbor and Friend our family has ever had)

1 family size bag Doritos
1-2 pounds ground beef or turkey
2 Cans Enchilada Sauce
Velveeta Cheese

Grease 9x13 pan and layer with crushed Doritos. Brown and drain ground meat. Layer on top of Doritos. Pour enchilada sauce over meat and Doritos. Cube Velveeta and spread evenly over Casserole. Bake on 350 20-30 minutes or until Velveeta is melted.

Garlic Rice
1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic (I buy mine in a jar)
1-2 Tablespoons EVOO
1 Cup Jasmine or Minute Rice (Minute cooks faster)
Garlic Salt and Pepper to taste
2 Cups Water (or more)

In a skillet brown garlic in EVOO. Add Rice, garlic salt and pepper and continue to "brown/sautee". When rice has reached desired color add 2 cups water (you will have to add more for rice to completely cook). Allow rice to boil and then reduce heat. Cook until FLUFFY!

Crock Pot Chicken and Salsa
from Pearls, Handcuffs, and Happy Hour

1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup salsa (I measured mine in the soup can)
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 cup sour cream

Place chicken, soup, and salsa in the crock pot. Pour taco seasoning on top (I mixed mine all together). Cook on low for 6 hours. Pull the chicken out and shred and return to the crock pot. Stir in sour cream and heat until ingredients are combined. Serve with Rice and/or on a flour tortilla as a soft taco.

*Serve with these optional ingredients; Guacamole,lettuce, Sour Cream and Cheese*

Delightful....Enough Said!

Creamy Italian Chicken w/ Rice or Egg Noodles
from: Jenna's Journey

3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
1 pkt. Italian seasoning (I used Italian Dressing Seasoning Packet)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can (soup can) water
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 pkg. cream cheese
Sliced Shrooms
Green Onions (Optional)

Mix all together in crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. Serve with Jasmine Rice or Egg noodles.

Beef/Turkey Taco Casserole

Beef Taco Casserolé
from: Pearls, Handcuffs, and Happy Hour

1 lb. ground beef/turkey
1 Small Yellow Onion
1 can (16 oz.)refried beans {we used Rosarita}
1 (16 oz.)jar salsa/picante sauce {we used Market Street}
1 pkg. Taco Seasoning
2 ½ cups tortilla chips, coarsely crushed
1 medium bell pepper, chopped
4 medium green onions, chopped
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 ½ cups shredded cheese {we used Colby & Monterrey Jack}
1 cup shredded lettuce
Sour Cream

Brown meat and yellow onion and drain. Return to skillet and add refried beans, salsa, and taco seasoning. Heat to boiling and make sure to occasionally stir! Coarsely crush your chips and place two cups on the bottom of a "Sprayed" 2-qt. casserole dish. Top evenly with the beef mixture and cover with green onions, 1 cup of the tomatoes, and the shredded cheese. Bake uncovered on 350 for 20-30 minutes or until the cheese is all hot and bubbly! Top with lettuce, remaining 1/2 cup of tomato, & half cup of chopped tortilla chip.

*We left out the tomatoes since Breezy and Big Boy both hate them*

Enjoy...We surely did!

A Month Later....

We've been in our new home for just over a month and we're still trying to get settled in. In a month we've done a few things but not much.....

We finally received our unaccompanied baggage last week, but seriously all we sent was our clothes and Brudder's bed...what were we thinking? We're hoping that our main shipment will arrive soon. I'm ready to sleep in my bed and not on an air mattress. I'm sick of sitting on the floor, or in baskets of laundry.

Big Boy has been sleeping on a "camp-out" but he hasn't complained one bit. We're going to be painting his "Toy Story" room this week so that it's all ready when our things get here! He's super excited about his new room. He suckered me into painting his room "To Inifity and Beyond Green" (he made that color up). On another note, we found out today that the cut-off for Kindergarten here on post is 1 October..Big Boy makes the cut off by about 4 days and will be going to FULL DAY Kindergarten next school year...Tear! We're so glad he won't have to go to Part Day Preschool again.

We've really had a time with Brudder staying sick since he was born. Since he was 3 mos old we've been told that he was lactose intolerant. We could never understand why he was spitting up,having diarrhea, staying so ill and keeping a diaper rash until we saw the pediatrician last week. Brudder has a MILK PROTEIN allergy instead. This is much worse than your typical lactose sensitivity. Since our visit we've eliminated ALL dairy from his diet, changed him to a hypoallergenic formula and you'd never know he was the same child...HE'S EVEN SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT NOW :-). Now we're working to adjust our ways of eating so that we can feed him the right way. This change will be alot of work but totally worth keeping him well.

Boy Jack, the newest addition to our family is growing and driving me crazy. Potty training is "going". I think in another week we'll finally have this pee'ing and pooping outside thing down pat. Jack is still very hyper and jumps on the boys and they both hate it. We're working on obedience and I see "school" in Jack's future.

We bought a "new to us" car. I told Wes I wasn't going to be stranded at home everyday when he went to work :-). Being stuck in Germany was one thing but there's WAY to much that I can get done here to be stuck. Plus I'm hoping to get a part time job very soon!

We finally bought a washer and dryer. I love being able to just walk down to the basement inside my house to get my laundry done anytime I want AND I don't have to share them with anyone. I could do my laundry naked and nobody would ever know :-).

My momma and daddy are coming to visit very soon and Clark and I are very ready to see them. Clark asked me if his BoBo was gonna bring him a swing set and toys in his suitcase...had to tell him nope. BoBo does plan on doing some fun things with his boys while he's here and maybe even taking them to the toy store..why? Because ever kid needs toys. That's what BoBo says!

I'm sorry for the lack of photos but I can't find my camera cord. I think I packed it in our HHG shipment. I'll post some as soon as I can! I must go for now, Brudder is waking up from his nap and will be ready for some lunch!

A Little Piece of Home > Papa's Chicken and Dumplin's

More food, more food...Yes, I'm gonna blog about more food!
(yes I left the "g" out of dumplings on purpose)

(since I failed to take a photo of mine...they looked similar though!)

For weeks I have been craving homemade Chicken and Dumplin's so on Wednesday of last week I called my Papa and asked him for the run down. This task, that I thought would be so difficult turned out to be a synch. Let me tell you, 2 bowls later and a phone call back to my Papa on Friday, I am proud to say my Dumplings were FANTASTIC and tasted just like Papa's do! Let me tell you how I did it.....

Papa's Chicken and Dumplin's

Step 1:
Cover with water and boil together in a large pot;
1 Pack (8-10 pcs) Chicken Thighs
2-4 Stalks of Celery (Washed and diced)
1 Onion
Salt and Pepper
Step 2:
Remove Chicken from Stock, allow to cool, de-bone.
Step 3:
Add the following to your pot of Stock and bring to a low boil
1 Can Cream of Mushroom
1 Can Cream of Celery
1 Can Cream of Chicken
Step 4:
Return Chicken to pot of "Creamy Stock" and bring to a rolling boil
Step 5:
Take 4 cans regular refrigerator biscuits and cut each biscuit into 4 smaller pieces.
Add 1/2 of biscuits to "Creamy Stock" and allow to simmer for 20 minutes with the lid on the pot. (Do not take the lid off). Biscuits will rise to top and become very fluffy.
Step 6:
Serve up your bowls and allow to cool!
Add the remaining 1/2 of biscuits to your "Creamy Stock", replace lid and allow to simmer while you enjoy your 1st bowl. This portion should be ready in time for 2nds or for leftovers...which by the way these are excellent the very next day.

When your stuck in the house all day long with 2 children what do YOU do? There has to be an escape of some kind whether it be sewing, scrap booking, reading, etc.

My escape has become cooking during Brudder's afternoon nap. It seems to be very good stress relief and makes for a home that smells fantastic when Breezy comes in from his long day at the Hangar.

There are many meals that I know Breezy loves and I have always wanted to make them for him. In Germany I had a kitchen FULL of cookware, etc. and never seemed to find the time (or maybe the guts) to prepare them and now were in our new home, with NOTHING (but 1 pot, 1 cake pan, 1 cookie sheet and 1 skillet) and I've managed to make a dish that I know is one of his favorites (and didn't get the look) so far. It was so simple and easy that I decided to share it with you here. I took the recipe from The Pioneer Women and made it fit my cooking needs! I'm going to tell you how I did it and you can decide which way is easier.

Beef Drip/French Dip

4-5 pd Chuck Roast
1 Can Beef Consomme
1 (16 oz) jar sliced Pepper Rings
Italian Seasoning
Garlic Salt and Powder
Pepper
Shredded Carrots (optional)
1-2 Red Onions
EVOO or Butter for Sauteing Onions
Brotchen/Fresh Rolls
Provolone Cheese

Season Chuck Roast with Italian Seasoning, Garlic Powder and Pepper and place in large pot. To your pot add consomme, 1/2 jar (or more) of peppers and 1/2 jar (or more) of pepper juice. In a skillet saute' onions and carrots until onions are slightly translucent and add to roast pot. Bring juices to a rolling boil. (I boiled mine for 15 minuted and then flipped my roast over, allowing for both sides to be slightly browned.) Reduce heat to medium/low heat (make sure you keep a simmer going) and place lid on pot. Allow to cook, untouched for 3-5 hours. Once meat is done/falling apart, shred with fork and return to juice for 5-10 minutes for added moisture. In a large bowl strain meat from juice, reserving juice for dipping. Slice rolls cover each side with butter and a little garlic powder, add meat mixture (I spooned a little juice over the top of the meat to keep from getting too dry in the oven), top with Provolone cheese. Bake at 350 degrees until cheese is melted.

*You can do this in your crock pot also and cook ALL day on low*

Do you like to dress your kiddos for all of those Special Occasions (Valentines, St. Patty's, Easter, Mardi Gras, Birthday,Turkey Day,Christmas)? Most of you know that I do. It's Real Wild Ride

Jan 19th marked the beginning of chaos for Breezy and I. It seems like the 19th was yesterday not almost a month ago.

The packers came on the 25th and 26th to pick up our Household Goods(HHG)and both of those days were a mess in themselves. The 25th was our big pick up of around 7000 lbs. They sent ONE packer and a truck to hold 4500 lbs. Needless to say at 2:00 p.m. they realized they needed 3 packers and another truck. The packers finally left our house at 10:00 p.m. On the 26th they were suppose to come pick up our unaccompanied items between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. and guess when they showed up...7:30 p.m. YUCK! On the 27th we spent all day cleaning the apartment and moving our luggage to the Heeter's and on the 28th we cleared our apartment with the housing office at 12:30 p.m. What a busy week.

On the 25th I attended PWOC in Germany for the last time and it made me very sad. I had to say goodbye to many, but the final goodbye's didn't happen until the 30th, our last Sunday in Chapel. On the 31st, 5 of my best girlfriends came over to the Heeter's for Coffee and Cake and we said our goodbye's. It truly broke my heart. *Chelsea, Latrise, Iris, Jeanette and Rita thank you for your friendship and love.*

We flew from Germany on the 1st at 1:15 p.m. and finally made it to our new home in CO around 9:30 p.m. (8 hours difference in the time). We were whopped. We stayed with our old neighbors from Germany for 2 nights and since then we've been in our new house and getting adjusted.

I've got alot to write about but since we still do not have any furniture I'm sitting on the floors and my tailbone has no more life left in it. I'll post again soon...with photos :-)

In The Middle of the Night.....

I'm singing songs in my head at 4:45 a.m. I'm up, not by choice, but because sweet Brudder has decided he does NOT want to sleep. He's had his bottle (for the 2nd time tonight)and now he's back in his crib deciding whether or not he wants to fuss,sleep, or play. I'm hoping for SLEEP soon. Breezy will be up in 10 minutes for PT and friends, hes oblivious to the fact that we're not sleeping! I'm thankful one of us sleeps good at night, or solid I should say.

On Tuesday and Wednesday we were able to get more things checked off of our "CLEARING" list. I'm pleased that we're actually ahead of the game now. I am planning to sit down with the list this morning to figure out just how much we can get done in the next 72 hours. The biggest thing we've accomplished this week is, we headed up (or down) the road to another Installation for our POV inpsection and shipment. We passed with flying colors and now our car is headed to Dallas, TX. We'll have to drive or fly to pick it up which is going to be a chore in itself.
I'm sure when we get the notification to come pick it up it will be a happy, happy day! Oh,PCS'ing how you are literally consuming my life. I'm ready to put you behind me.

Tonight I was laying in bed when a FLOOD of emotion took me over. All I could think about was my precious Aunt who went on to Glory only days ago. I realized that in the chaos of all that has wound me up in the last 3 weeks I had not mourned like necessary. I'm a lot like my mother when it comes to this, but I never realized it until now. Oh, how I wish that I could have had one last visit. One more chance to tell her how much I love her. I have a special bound with most all of my Aunts and Uncles but for some reason the bound I share/shared with my mom's sister's over the years are a little different. I have wonderful memories of my Aunt Carol. I could go on for days sharing them with you, but that could take hours. I'm taking all of my memories in and sealing them forever!

The alarm clock sounded and Breezy isn't budging. Guess I'll go play mom and run him out of bed!

Weekend Round Up & Bringing Up Boys (2 for 1)

Friends, its been a busy, productive and FUN weekend. Breezy and I have been getting things done and it feels GOOD. Let me just give you a short summary of our last 4 day weekend in Germany....It should have been spent traveling.
Thursday night after all the Chaos was over we had Pizza for dinner and spent the evening de-stressing. :-)
Friday- Me and the boys ran around taking care of business. Had lunch at Subway and then did a little shopping for some odds and eds at the PX. We had a quick and easy dinner and again spent the evening just hanging out at home.
Saturday- We packed a little and mostly just stayed around the house for the most part. In the evening the boys and I spent some time with my dear German friend Mrs.H while our husbands and her older children went to see Narnia at the theater.
Sunday- EUCOM Chaplain, Ray Bailey came to be apart of our worship service. He spoke on "Being Nice" which is another post in itself. We had a pot luck that was pretty much a joke since the DFAC (Dining Facility)forgot to cook some of our food. In the evening we had several good friends over for Fried Pickles, Chili, Cornbread and Alabama sweet tea...and a few bottles of wine also. First night of fun since before my surgery.
TODAY- We cleaned out the car and spent the morning in our jammies playing old school Mario! Today is also Mrs. H's birthday so we spent the afternoon celebrating with cake and coffee at her house!

NOTHING exciting but with the craziness that is going to begin in the next 48 hours I needed to relax a little. Breezy even let me sleep in this morning and Saturday night Brudder FINALLY slept through the nights.

On two my 2nd "Thought"
In all the books I've read on Bringing Up Boys, nowhere has it said that my son would be infatuated with pee'ing on things in public. Here's an example;

1. right before my surgery Big Boy RAN out of the Sanctuary through the side doors. I went after him only to find him pee'ing on the side of the church building.
2. 3 weeks ago I got out of the car at church and Big Boy got out in a hurry, took off running across the lawn (I thought he was headed to the door...NO, he was headed to the tree...He had to pee and couldn't go a few feet further to the bathroom right inside the church
3. YESTERDAY we had a pot luck after church. As I was cleaning up Mrs. H hollers across the fellowship hall..."Mrs. B look out the window." I did and so did everyone else, only to find Clark pee'ing on the tree AGAIN.
4. THEN again yesterday we were cleaning and Big Boy was playing outside on the porch. He comes running in the house....MOM I pee'd through the fence.
5. Lastly today we were out cleaning out our car and I look and he's by the building in the backyard pee'ing down the drain...wonder where the water/urine really goes. Picture this...little boy in his flannel Pj's with his pants tucked into his rain boots with his Spiderman jacket on.
Let me say this, he hasn't figured out that he does not have to pull his pants all the way down so every time he's pee'ing in public hes got his pants around his ankels and his cute little white hiney flashed for the world to see.

Another note about pee'ing.
We've been working with Big Boy in the evenings so he doesn't wet the bed in the night. On Friday night about 11:45 p.m. Breezy and I were laying in bed when I heard Big Boy get out of his bed and start towards the bathroom. I was THRILLED. I layed there thinking he'll potty and go right back to bed. The longer I listened the more I realized that he was indeed going potty but his urine was NOT going into the toilet. I jumped up and found Big Boy standing at the bathroom door, facing into the bathroom, going potty right in the floor...YUCK. After I finished laughing I asked him what he was doing and so innocently he said "Momma I'm just going peepee on the potty." Isn't that what we've been begging him to do. I just wish he would have walked about 6 feet further and actually made it to the toilet.

The joys of being a mother to boy. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Its 10:15 and Breezy and I are watching the re-play of the Golden Globes. He's snoring already so I guess that means it's time for us to get to bed. 5:30 a.m. will come early for Breezy.

Tomorrow is my very last PWOC meeting. It's going to be bittersweet.

And The Army Goes Rolling Along.....

So we OFFICIALLY have orders to our next Duty Station....18 days out. I'm sure you all could tell by my tone that I was beginning to freak out just a little bit.Breezy keeps asking me if I am stressing less now that we have papers..WELL NO, I've only got something on my calendar everyday for the rest of the month. WHOA take a nerve tablet and BREATHE! We received the Orders via email around 4:00 p.m. yesterday and Breezy and I have been non-stop since then. In less than 24 hours we have;

1. Made arrangements for our household goods to be picked up along with our unaccompanied baggage.
2. Made an appointment to clear our apartment.
3. Booked our plane tickets.
4. Packed up our collection of over 300 DVD's.
5. Packed up Breezy's "Army" things.
6. Sorted and Organized all of our personal documents.
7. Breezy cleared about 6 check marks in his clearing packet and made a few other appointments for next week.
8. We de-registered the 525 BMW and made an appointment to pick up shipping tags for the KIA next week.
9. Made an appointment to ship our POV to Dallas, TX (12 hours from where we will live).
10. I booked Breezy a massage for the 24th :-).
11. AND been Mommy and Daddy to our 2 precious boys :-).

I'm thrilled that the Army finally decided that it was necessary to get things rolling along. They did some-what drop the ball, but heck I'm sure we're not the only ones this has happened to. We are just grateful that we'll be in our new home SOON.

ALSO...big news from Brudder. We have 2 teeth now and today we officially switched to Cloth diapers. They will take some getting used to but I believe they will be worth it in the long run. I have some photos of his "Happy Heiney" wearing self and I'll share those with you in a few days.

My brain can not think anymore. I must go to bed. Brudder will be up between 1 and 3 I'm sure for his nightly feeding. Goodnight!

We've Made Our List(s).....We're Marking Things Off

Holy Moly friends the last few days have been like a time bomb. I last blogged on Saturday and Breezy and I have been in a mad rush to get things taken care of. PCS'ing is beginning to suck me in and boy will I be ready to get out in a few weeks. I believe when you PCS it's much different from a regular move. The Army has very high standards you are expected to abide by. Of course for us we've not really had any issues because we take care of the things we've been blessed to have.

Let me just share with you a few things that we've already done in the last 5 days, and a few things that we still need to do...

DONE:
1. We've packed our entire basement (baby clothes,toys,110 Appliances, Christmas Goodies, Other holiday Goodies, linens, etc.)
2. Cleaned out and sorted Big Boy's room.
3. Moved all of Brudder's things from our room to Big Boys room to be packed.
4. Cleaned out and pre-packed/sorted Breezy's closet.
5. Brought the suitcases from the basement so we can start packing the things we will need to keep when our Household Goods are picked up.
6. Cleaned the stove/oven to Inspection Standards.
7. Cleaned the house last night and this morning to prep for our pre-inspection.
8. PASSED our pre-inspection with only a few items to work on.
9. Took our limit of 20 items to the thrift store for consignment in December. We're taking another 20 items on Thursday. (Received a check for 48.00)
10. WE HAVE A HOUSE ON POST!!!!!!! 1740 sq ft/3 bd/1 ba :-( basement, fenced yard. We couldn't be more blessed.

TO DO:
1. FINALLY get Breezy's orders.
2. Go to the USAG up the road and pick up Out Processing information
3. Book plane tickets to America and make arrangements for Rental Car/Lodging/ Airport Pick up.
5. Turn off Cell's/Home Phone/Internet, Close bank account
4. Arrange for our car to be shipped/clean car to Army standards/take car 45 minutes away and drop it off/find car to drive until we leave.
6. Arrange for our HHG's to be picked up
7. Arrange for our unaccompanied baggage to be picked up.
8. Schedule Final Inspection
9. Make arrangements for lodging after Final Inspection
10. Pack/Re-Pack our 8 bags (we'll have on bag full of toys for the boys!)
11. FINAL OUT OF GERMANY!!!!

There's another to do list for Breezy and another to do list once we get to America

A few other important events;
My dear friends from our Battalion are having a Farewell Lunch for another dear friend; Leslie and I. We'll both be leaving around the same time. We're going to be going to one of my favorite Greek restaurants in Germany! It will be hard to say goodbye to some of the grandest friends I've made in all of my lifetime.

Lastly, I will have to say my final farewell to the ladies of PWOC (Protestant Women of the Chapel)and to our Church Family/my Kid's Worship Kiddo's. Going to be a very very sad day for me but I know that the ministry's are both being left in good hands!

I'm off to catch a cat nap while Brudder naps his little heart away. I'll have one eye open watching Big Boy play his new Wii game :-).

PCS'in with a 4 Year Old

Momma, I don't want to leave here just yet, "I just love all the people." He's so tenderhearted. My response was, Buddy, Momma loves the people too but it's time for us to find more people to love.

That was Big Boy's response to us telling him that pretty soon we wouldn't live in Germany anymore. He's VERY confused and trying to make him understand is just making it harder. This house(and my parents for a year)is the only home he has ever known and in a few days his whole world is going to be rocked. We moved here when he was merely 7 weeks old. This is going to be the 1st life changing event, besides welcoming Brudder into the family,that he will experience.

He has his mind made up that we're packing up our belongings to go back to Grammy's world in America. He's going to be very disappointed when we get off the airplane in CO and Gram's not there waiting for us at the luggage belt. He "knows" that we're headed to Colorado but he's not grasping the concept at all. I keep explaining to him that when we get to America we can drive to Grammy's house and we won't have to wait so long to visit and no more really long airplane rides.

He doesn't want a new room. He asked if he could take his room with him. He's worried he'll never see his toys again. We've told him that they're going to go across the ocean just like we are and will meet us at our new house...SOONER than LATER.

He wants to make sure that Dadda and Brudder are coming along. "Remember,you and Brudder are going to share a new sleeping room."

We look at photos of houses and he thinks they are all perfect, especially the apartments with pools and playgrounds. He wants a dog named Jack, a black one with white spots, as soon as we get to America. He wants a house with stairs, just like at Gram's house. He wants to have a sleeping room with Brudder and a play room. He's got high expectations! I just want a place that we can call "home" and maybe a fireplace too.

I think we will take pictures of this house so he'll always remember his first home. I want to make Germany a memory he'll never,ever forget. Of course we'll come back when the boys are older and can understand and share with them more about our time here. Our time here has been so very precious.

This is an adventure,that's for sure! I'm sure I'll have more stories to share. Until then,please pray for a since of understanding and peace for our sweet boy. He's having HORRIBLE night mares. He keeps waking up screaming for us not to leave him here. It breaks my heart because I would never ever do such a thing.

What is PCS'ing?

In the United States Armed Forces, a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) is the official relocation of an Active Duty military service member, along with any family members living with her or him to a different duty location.

On January 1, 2011 this became the next phase of our lives. Now, we are 25 days away from leaving Europe and we have a HUGE to-do list to accomplish before we can leave.

Here's just a LITTLE of how the process works....

1. You receive your assignment/next duty location on you AKO/ASK (Army Website).
2. Your solider will attend a Levy Brief that will help him to understand the all aspects of a PCS move.
3. Orders SHOULD be received.
4. Appointments begin; Set up the moving of your household goods, ship your vehicle, have your house pre-inspected/final inspection, arrange your flight, arrange for housing once you have "cleared" your house.
5. Your soldier will begins the official out-processing from your current assignment approximately 10 business days prior to flying. Get on a housin wait list only to find out there is a 3-6 month wait....start looking for a house/apartment that is within the rate of your BAH (Basic Housing Allowance).
6. You pre-pack before the movers/packers come (this usually makes for a few trips to the dump and or thrift store), you clean before your pre-inspection, you clean after the movers come.
7. Unaccompanied baggage (if you have time) is packed and picked up.
8. Clear housing and stay with friends for a few night before you head out.

Are you tired yet?

I am. I'm more stressed than anything BECAUSE...
We just got our assignment last TUESDAY and Breezy has NOTHING on his AKO/ASK. Therefore he can not go to a Levy Brief. Therefore he can not get his orders. Therefore we can not make any appointments. Therefore we leave in 25 days and we are already WAY behind. I'm ready to get this show on the road people! Understand this, the Army works on THEIR time not yours/ours.

We did spend most of the morning sorting/repacking/cleaning out our storage unit. All of the boys outgrown/do not fit just yet clothes have been sorted and put into Tupperware, all of our linens (sheets, towels, blankets,rugs, curtains) are washed and packed. Some of Big Boy's toys are packed (puzzles, games). Christmas Decorations are all ready to go.

There is still a lot left to do but I can only do so much in one day. It's especially hard since I am not allowed to lift anything more than 10 pounds (I do hold Brudder..he's 18). I want things packs so-so. I want to be able to locate all of my items. I'm sure I'll be going behind the packers labeling all of the boxes. I'm anal about that kind of stuff unfortunately. We'll see if they are as tolerable as the movers were when we PCS'd from Ft. Rucker in 2006.

Sweet Memories...They Never Fade

It is with a very very sad heart that I share with you all that my Aunt did pass on to her final resting place in Heaven in the early morning hours. My mom was by her side and they shared some very precious minutes together before she passed. Although she may be gone, her legacy and the memories that we all have of her will live on. We love you Auntie Carol and will miss you more than you'll ever know.

My Heart and Flesh Cry Out

Its 1:41 a.m. and posting in the middle of the night seems to be becoming a habit.

I am awake for a few reason....
1. Brudder thinks he HAS to get up between 1-3 every night for a feeding. I think this too is a habit. When we move to our new home I will give him the opportunity to cry it out and see if we can't get him sleeping through the night. For now though, he shares a room with Mom and Dad and his fits of crying will wake Dad and Big Boy, which could be BAD!
2. PAIN- will it ever go away? Once I'm up my bodies realizes that it's been resting and it's time to kick my guts up to my throat once again. I'm going back for my 2 week apt. today so I'm hoping that we'll figure this out.
3. My mind is like a Tornado...there is so much going on. Today we found out that we will be moving to Colorado, in 27 days. I knew that this was going to happen. We wanted to move to Savannah, 6 hours from home, but unfortunately they do not have a place for us there. Colorado, which is 23 hours from home, was our 2nd option and we are looking forward to our new adventure. I'm going to blog tomorrow on the PROCESS of PCS'ing (Permanent Change of Station)and you'll understand my stress.

And lastly, I spoke with my Mom today from Virgina where she is with my Aunt and her family, and things are drawing to an end. My precious Aunt is still holding on for some reason, as she has been for many many years, but she is beginning to let go. She's been sick with Cancer for as long as I can remember, first breast cancer and for the last several years Lymphoma, her body just can not take anymore.She's a fighter friends and I know now where my mom get's her resiliency from. I hope I'm just half the women these 2 and my Aunt Jackie are. My heart cry's out because I am not there for my mom. I last Auntie C in February, when I was pregnant with my sweet Brudder and covered from head to toe in PUPPP. She was in the hospital and we had just been from MD to say our final goodbye's to my Grandfather. I never imagined that in all reality that this was my final goodbye, I'll never see her again. I have always had a very special relationship with both my Auntie C and my mom's youngest sister so loosing this piece of me my life is hard....especially on the other side of the world. I can only pray from here for peace from the suffering that her body is experiencing and for my precious Uncle to be comforted as he has not left her side...never. Where God is "their" strong tower, he is her strong tower. It's a beautiful picture of how Christ loves us. She also has 2 daughters, a son, 4 grandchildren (all whom have significant others) and 1 precious Great Grand Boy :-), who you can imagine love her just as much. I am also praying for my mom and Aunt Jackie. They lost their Father in February and now they are losing their sister/mom/best friend. Would you join me in praying for them all as well?

I must get back to bed as I know that morning will come quickly. Rest my friends!

Manic Monday (3)

Since I'm still not allowed to lift much, cleaning Big Boy's room was more than a chore today. I was trying to do the cleaning and BOTH boys are pulling things out as fast as I can put them away. Believe it or not Brudder is the biggest mess maker and he's not even 8 months old.

I won't write much tonight because there's not alot to share. You all know how Monday's are. They never get better. I do want you to see this photo. Brudder worked for about 10 minutes to pull everything out of this bed stand and then proceeded to get inside. Once inside he realized that he didn't like it at all and decided he needed to make a quick escape...NOT SO MUCH. He finally got so ticked off that he began to scream, Big Boy came to the rescue real quick.

My last PWOC Kick-Off here in Germany is tomorrow. I'm sad. I've been a part of the PWOC here since 2007 and it will definitely be one of the things I miss the most about being here.

First "Firsts" of the New Year! (2)

Today we had a much needed family day. We slowly took down all the Christmas decorations this morning and then spent the afternoon just being lazy while Brudder was napping.

After nap time we headed on to post to see the movie Tangled! This was the first movie we'll see in the theater in 2011 but it was also Brudder's first time to head to the movie theater with the family. He was a champ, not a single cry or fuss out of him. Big Boy absolutely loves going to the theater. It's not often that we get a Children's film here so when we do it's really a treat. You get to the theater and you see everyone you know. Big Boy and his best brown from Kinks saw this movie together and they were hilarious. Kinks doesn't like anyone around him to make a peep while he's watching the film and Big Boy, our talker, never shuts up. They love each other though.

After the movie we enjoyed a nice dinner out, probably for the last time until we move to America, at our favorite Chinese restaurant; The Mandarin. The last time we were there I was supposedly a month away from delivery but little did we know that Brudder would come a week later. We've eaten take out a time or two but this was Brudder's first time at the restaurant and he was such a good boy. Big Boy loves the Sweet and Sour Chicken with NO SAUCE and will eat until he is stuffed. He's such a picky eater that it's nice to see him eat more than a few pieces of his dinner.

My Breezy will head back to work, back to a regular schedule tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to it at all. I'm still having some pain, and not "allowed" to bend or lift much at all so this should be interesting. Thankfully Big Boy is an amazing helper. He and I are going to Clean the Kitchen in the morning and then do some crafting in the afternoon. The week with pass with no time.

I've asked you to join us on our journey back to America and we hope that process will begin for us on Tuesday. As of right now, we do not know where we will be moving. Somehow the Army "forgot" we were leaving, so now we're down to our last 30 days in country and we're not even prepared to leave. On Tuesday we hope to have an "On Assinment" and shortly after "Paper Orders." We're crossing our fingers for Savannah, but our best bet is going to be Colorado. Only time will tell!!

My parents are traveling north tonight to be with my Aunt who is slowly fading away from us. She's been sick for a very long time and only time will tell how much longer she will be here with us. My Auntie C is the strongest, most determined woman I have ever met in my entire life. Even through many battles of Cancer she has continued to truck on, mostly winning the fight for her life. I'd ask that you'd continue to pray for her family and my parents as time is so precious.

Welcome 2011 (1)

Today our family will start "Project 365"! Looking forward to sharing our "New Journey" into 2011. Here's a brief run-down of 2010;

January- Rang in 2010 with our Germany Friends. Traditional NYE dinner and tons of fireworks. 4 1/2 Months Pregnant with Brudder!

February- Breezy turned 27 and we celebrated the month of Love. We made an emergency trip to MD/AL to be with my Grandfather during his last days here on earth. Unfortunately, we didn't make it in time. Spent time with family and made some decisions while we were home that were for the good of our family. Had a 3-D ultrasound and saw Brudder growing like a weed.

March and April- Very slow, tired months. St. Patty's Day, preparations for Easter, taught Clark the meaning of Easter and to this day he still remembers. Brudder is so close to delivery by end of April but we have 4 weeks left to go. I was miserable. Clark loves Preschool. Baby Shower given by some of my closest friends.

May- Brudder made his appearance 3 1/2 weeks early and I learned what it was like to be a mom to 2 beautiful boys who quickly completed our family. We struggled with breast-feeding only to learn that Brudder has a very sensitive tummy. Preschool is over and Clark is home with mom now during the days. He loves his brother and is such a big helper.

June- SUMMER TIME!!!!! I turned 27! Said goodbye to our friends to Rodriguez Family.

July- Brudder's first 4th of July Celebration. We welcomed the Camp Adventure interns into our family until September. They quickly became a fixture in our home.
We welcomed home many soliders from Iraq during this month. It was such a precious time. We also celebrated Baby Brennon and Kayla's 1st birthdays!

August- Breezy went away for training and left me and the boys to fend for ourselves. We were fine. Had a lot of help from our excellent neighbors and the Camp A gals!! We had a ton of "Girls Nights" while Wes away. Lifetime friendships were made during this time! Catrina and Antonia we Breezy's miss you a ton!

September- Gabe and Clark celebrate #4 together with a party at the brand new park on post. The next week Me and the little boys flew to America to spend a few weeks with the Grandparents while Daddy had more training to do. He joined us for 3 weeks and we all flew home together. Clark had 2 more birthday parties; one at Grammy and Bobo's and one at Mema and Papa's! We introduced Brudder to lots of our family and friends. AUBURN/GATOR football!!!!

October- Fall Festival!!! Mommy worked like crazy with Mrs. Jenn. Everything was great. Over 500 in attendance. A record high for Storck Chapel. More Football. AUBURN is undefeated!

November- Thanksgiving and lots of meetings to prepare for 2011. We spent thanksgiving in the Alps with our friends. Enjoyed our time at "The Apartment" we stayed in during Christmas 2011. Clark has a new love for the snow! He's gonna be just like his Papa and love the outdoors. Watched the AL/AU Iron Bowl game via the internet with our Friend Jessica who is an AL fan. We had a ton of fun! Baby Noah turned one!

December- Christmas GALORE! Clark learned the Christmas Story and it's so sweet to hear him try to retell it, with help from Mom of course. He loves our Willow Tree Nativity. Started some new traditions as a family. Baby Kasen was born on the 19th of December to our favorite "Brown Friends". Brady Babi, our best friends son, turned one! Due to complications from my pregnancy and delivery with Brudder, we decided to "Complete" our family. I had to have a hysterectomy on the 21st of December. Christmas/New Years has been really layed back and relaxed for us!!!

P.S. On 1 Jan the Florida Gators won an we said Goodbye to an amazing couch.

NOW...Join us in 2011 as we'll journey back to America to find our new home and start our life over fresh and new as a completed family of 4!

*Brudder is Germany for brother. That's what Big Boy calls his brother MOST of the time!*

Breezy and I would like to introduce you to the newest member of our family.
Carsen Lee
Born: 11 May 2010
Time of Birth: 8:22 a.m.
Weight: 6 pds 13 oz.
Length: 19.5 inches

Everyone is doing great. I did have a c-section and the entire process was smooth and quick. The recovery has been a lot harder than I anticipated but slowly but surely things are beginning to get a little better. I had plenty of pain meds the 1st and 2nd day but didn't want to take as much on day 3 because of the baby's feedings. He was already sleeping enough and the meds running through my milk probably didn't help at all. I have been without anything but Tylenol since morning of day 3. Our sweet boy is considered slightly premature but we feel like he'll catch up in no time. Our midwife Margit was GREAT through the entire delivery/recovery/hospital stay. She says that the baby was delivered 3 to 3 1/2 weeks early instead of only 10 days. No worries, he's eating, sleeping, pooping and peeing just fine!

I'm running short on time for now, but wanted to post the photos I promised!

The Breezy 4

A Family of 3, We'll no Longer Be

My Bags are packed and I'm ready to go.

Breezy and I will leave our home tomorrow morning with the SUN at 6 a.m. to head out to the hospital 15 miles away to welcome our SON Carsen into the world. We'll wake up with the sunrise as a family of 3 and go to bed with the sunset as a family of 4. What a wonderful picture of God's faithfulness to family and of his delicate hand in Carsen's creation. We are very excitied, a little anxious, a lot nervous, and in all just ready for our sweet little fella to be here.

Big Boy will be in great hands while I am away at the hospital so that is one less thing that I will have to worry about. Our next door neighbor, who has become more like a best friend will be taking him to Preschool each morning and helping Breezy with the bedtime routine (bath, dinner, etc.) in the evenings. I am so thankful that the Lord knew that our families could not be here with us, as we hoped and he ordained individuals to step in and ask what they could do to help make this time as exciting and an easy transition for Big Boy.

I'm hoping to be out of the hospital by the end of the week but I will not push coming home until the Wee Man is eating like he should and until I feel that I have my pain under good control with very little or no pain medications. I'm just crossing my fingers that I do not have a roomate this time. Pray with me about this as well :-).

While I'm away anticiapte lots of good photos and a birthing story that I can't wait to share!

We're Almost There!

Hi friends!
It seems like I must always apologize for my absence before I can even begin my actual "post". Things have, as always, been rather hectic. Between getting ready for the baby here at home and trying to work until the very last minute I've been swamped. Unfortunately, my back has decided for me that I must indeed slow down.

We are finally coming to the end of this pregnancy. Next Tuesday we'll go in at 8 a.m. for delivery by c-section, UNLESS, I go into labor before then. I've had several really good check ups with the Dr. in the last few weeks, which has been nice. I'm considered favorable for delivery, but my body is not really cooperating.

Our Breezy Baby is growing, and it seems that he will have a head and feet like his Big Brother and his Daddy. That's ok though...more smart's! Right now they are guessing he'll be between 8 and 9 pounds. Any of you wanna guess? I weighed 5 pds. 15 oz, Breezy was right at 9 pds. and Big Boy was 7 pds. and 20 inches long. Big Boy wants Baby Breezy to have blue eyes like Daddy.
I just want him out so I can snuggle him in my arms and introduce him to his Big Brother.

I find it quiet humorous that Big Boy has "Boy Jack" in his belly still. We thought it was something that would just pass, but he's become very sure that "Boy Jack" is in his belly and is almost done growing. We've had to explain to Big Boy that "Boy Jack" doesn't need a suitcase after he informed me that the little suitcase was for him and his boys (Boy Jack and Baby Breezy). We finally told him that he'll just share with mommy and brother. He tells us that "Boy Jack" dances and sings the Ba*Ma* (superhero) dance and that he's almost done growing. We've bought him a boy cabbage patch doll that he has named Baby Jack, but it still isn't making this any less confusing for us. We'll see how it all pans out next week when he realizes that Baby Breezy is out of Mommy's tummy.

Breezy is working still but will be taking a little bit of leave starting next week. It will be nice to have him home with us. Big Boy will be in school a few days a week like normal, but will be home with us as well. We want to keep his schedule as normal as possible so that we can try to keep him from regressing in many of the area's we've worked so hard to straighten out. We've got some great friends who will be helping with him while I spend 5 days in the hospital.

Yesterday, out of the blue an acquaintance of mine who was about to use some choice words because of a problem with her car turned around and said to another acquaintance; "I better watch my mouth in front of the christian girl." Well both of these women call themselves Christian Belivers as well. I was almost offended by the statement....Whatcha think?

When Life Hands You Lemons

Make lots of Lemonade!

That's what we've been doing here at the Brezina house. The last few weeks have been crazy busy.Between Breezy working from 4:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. or 7 p.m Monday thru Friday, me working at the church A LOT, being a Super Momma at 7 1/2 months pregnant and trying to keep my house in some kind of order we've just be rampaged here.

Palm Sunday was our very first Sunday back in our Sanctuary after almost 6 months of renovations and having church in a confrence room. It was so beautiful and an event that the staff have all looked forward to since they told us in Jan. of our "move back in date." We had a lot of work to do to get everything in tip top shape so that services could be held. Everything went well and we were blessed to almost fill all the pews. Members that have been MIA since November when we moved were back in their "seats". I'm going to try to take some photos this Sunday.

Easter Sunday is always such a blessing to me. This year it was so special because Clark is old enough to sorta understand in preschool terms the Resurrection Story. He learned to sing Hosanna and also he'll tell you Jesus is Alive! We did give him an Easter Basket and he loved it but I can't wait for him to understand in a few years what Jesus did for us on the Cross is the TRUE gift. I had the privilege of being in Kid's Worship this Sunday and it was such a sweet, sweet thing to see some of the children literally moved to tears as my dear friend Monique and her dear husband Brian shared the Resurrection story. Our Chaplain brought a beautiful message of hope to a congregation FULL of families some old, some new and we had a combined lunch and Egg Hunt with the Catholic Congregation. It was a busy day, but such a fine time of reflection and joy.

Big Boy started playing T-Ball last week. He's on the Green team of (10) 3-5 year olds. Oh man are we in for a treat. They are too darn cute and most of them have NO idea what they are doing. We started working with Clark back in early March in hopes that he'd have the hang of it but well....he's still just as clueless as the rest. He's cute as pie none the less!!

Baby Breezy is still growing. I will be 34 weeks on Wednesday. Our plan is to deliver him via c-section in 4 weeks IF his lungs are healthy enough. The Dr. believes that he's going to be good and healthy and possibly on the larger side. I've only gained 20 pounds this far and let me tell you this little fella is running out of room. He's so active and responds anytime his daddy speaks or there is music playing. I attended Praise Band practice 2 weeks ago with Breezy and had to leave because he was actually hurting me from the inside! I am so thankful that the last Trimester thus far has been uneventful. I'm not near as tired as I thought I would be so there is a lot of progress being made in our home as we prepare for his arrival. His big brother can not wait...or so he says!

Back to Reality

The last week and 1/2 have been rough for our family. Between BAD jet lag and the stomach virus we've been a bit backwards. We're finally back at it though!

We arrived back in Germany after a very uneventful flight on a C17 from Jackson, MS last Tuesday morning. When we got to the airport our ride had not yet arrived so we had a little time to relax before jumping in the car for the 2 hour treck back to our little town. I was very thankful for a little moment to sit with my feet up, as I had a lot of swelling in my little piggies. We finally made it home around 3 p.m. and we were all 3 worn out but were determined to stay up so we could go to bed at "bedtime" and not wake up at some ungodly hour of the morning. It worked...Kinda!!

Breezy had to go back to work at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning so we didn't have time to really de-lag. We just jumped right back into our somewhat of a normal schedule. Big Boy and I did sleep in on Wed and Thurs after staying up late and getting up before daylight. Breezy worked on Wed until 5 came home and was in bed by 7 p.m. THEN on Thursday night he had to pull "Staff-Duty" until 9:00 a.m. on Friday. My poor husband was really needing some rest and I could tell he was getting past worn out. Thankfully we had the weekend of NOTHING to try and get our bodies sorted out and back to normal....UNTIL the Intestinal Virus invaded Breezy's privacy. It was a yucky 3 days at our house. I'm thankful that Big Boy and I haven't contrapted it as of this morning!

Here's a look at how Pregnancy is treating me as of 30 weeks

Total Weight Gained/Lost – around 15 pds so far. hopefully 5-10 pds more will be it for me.

Maternity Clothes – I'm wearing maternity jeans when I have to and mostly my pre-pregnancy shirts, but my work out and jammie pants are a must the minute I walk in the door.

Sleep – What is that? For the last 2 1/2 weeks I've been getting very little sleep at night. Between a very active baby and just no way to get comfortable, sleep is something I just daydream about! I nap well on the couch during the day...sometimes

Best Moment of the Week – Getting all the hand me down's from Big Brother washed, folded and put away and realizing that we do NOT have to buy near as much as we thought we would. *Thank you Lord for always meeting our needs!"

Movement – Baby Breezy is very active most of the day with little cat naps in between. At 10 p.m. every night he really comes to life. I'm hoping this isn't the sign of a BAD schedule in the making. I'm pretty much all belly so this poor little fella really doesn't have much space. He's getting cramped and with every movement he makes my belly gets a little more sore.

Food Craving – I still LOVE salad and Spaghetti or Pizza.

Food aversions – chicken and pretty much anything that has a "smell."

Morning sickness – I never had morning sickness with Big Boy and I haven't had any with Baby Breezy either. I have had a horrible case of acid reflux that seems to set in each evening right after dinner. I've been through an entire bottle of Tums since we've been home. Big Boy thinks I just like eating candy with my meal each night.

Gender – A big/long Boy who's weight is estimated currently at 3 pds.

Labor Signs– Baby Breezy is head down and I have been having some pressure and contractions in my back.

Belly Button– It's almost gone.

What I miss– Being able to pick Big Boy up and hold him when he just "needs" his Mommy. Big Boy loves to sit in his Mommy's lap and this makes me sad that he can't like he used to. I desperately miss feeling like I can get something accomplished in my home without getting worn out.

Milestones– I'm so thankful that I have been able to carry our baby boy this far without any other complications. We had another ultrasound and everything finally looks like it should. We're tentaviely set to have the baby around the 2nd week of May, although I'm still trying to decide for a natural (with drugs) delivery/VBAC or a C-Section like before. We'll decide as we get a little closer. We also had the oppurtnity to listen to Baby Breezy's heartbeat for the first time last Friday. I thought I was at the Kentucky Derby!

I'm rambling again as always. I've got something in the works for "My Life as A Military Wife" so stay tuned! I'm off to shower and get ready to take my Hubby's Company some lunch!

I've been so busy over the last 11 days that I've not stopped long enough to breath I don't think.

On 13 Feb. my mom e-mailed and said that my Grandfather had taken a turn for the worse and the end result did not look promising, but that my Aunt Jackie had told her to hold tight at home in Alabama until she called her back.

Around Noon central time on the 14th I called my mom to see how he was doing and she informed me that she and my dad were leaving to head to Maryland. Aunt Jackie, who is in Maryland had called and told her that if she wanted to see him alive she needed to come ASAP.

THANKFULLY, My mom and dad made it to Maryland and to the VA Home at 1:40 a.m. on the 15th. My 87 year old Grandaddy made a sweet escape into Heaven at 2:25 a.m. with my momma and Aunt Jackie right by his side. I firmly believe he didn't want my Aunt Jackie to be alone so he held on until my Momma was there with her. We are so thankful that his final days here on this earth were peaceful and that he did not experience much suffering.

Breezy and I began a Red Cross Message on the 14th with the hopes that we would make it to Maryland in time to say our final goodbye's, but unfortunately we did not. Because of the unexpectedness of events we decided to take a Space Available flight into New Jersey and then drive to Maryland. This worked out great for us (time and financially) but we were not able to arrive until the 16th. For the first time in YEARS we were together as a family (although not complete) and that is all that matters.

Grandaddy's memorial was held on Friday and the service was beautiful. A partial Navy Honor Guard was there to honor his 43 years of Service to our Country. He was retired Active Duty (23 years) and Civil Service (20 years). He will be buried later this week at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetary with full honors. My Grandma and my Aunt Jackie will be there to celebrate his life.

My immediate family made way to Alabama on Sunday. Breezy and I needed to take advantage of being in America and get some things taken care of while we are here. We were able to pack up lots of clothes for the new baby and get some other things we'll need in the next few months together. This has saved us about $300.00. We've done SOME shopping but not a whole lot because we only brought 2 suitcases home. I will be hitting up TJ Ma** today or tomorrow :-).

I went to the Dr. yesterday to see my regular OB because I was experiencing some unusual lower abdominal pressure and I needed to get this nasty rash checked out AGAIN. Everything looks good as of now BUT Baby Breezy is already head down. He's weighing in at about 3 pounds and looks to be about 14 inches long. I've still got about 12 weeks to go if I make it to 40 weeks. I was pleased to see on the ultrasound that the bleeding has completely resolved itself and there is NO sign of the hemattoma. Now, I want you to tell me that the God I serve is NOT the Great Physician!

Enough talking for me. I have a lot to get done this morning and another cup of coffee is first on the list!

I'm Here, not completely awake but I'm here!

I'm Cold!

I have a chest cold yet AGAIN!

And more importantly I just want all of this snow to go away.

Now for a little less complaining :-)

I am thankful today that Mr. Sunshine has decided to let his presence be known to our little neighborhood. We saw him briefly on Saturday but that did not last long at all. I'm sure he's just teasing us again to do as well. Some vitamin d would do this body of mine some good.

I'm thankful that I woke up at 5 a.m. got my laundry going and now at 9:30 a.m. I have all 4 loads of my laundry washed, almost dried, some folded and waiting to be put away. I'll be laundry free by the time I pick up Clark from the kindergarten at Noon!

I'm also thankful that this Thursday Breezy will celebrate his 27th birthday. As a gift from the Army he'll get to take a PT test on Friday. That means he'll have to wait until Friday night for his birthday dinner, but it will be worth the wait. PROMISE!

I'm VERY thankful that our new Bible studies begin on Tuesday. I'm still undecided as to which one I will be a part of, but I am sure that tomorrow when it comes time to choose the Lord will direct me right where he wants me.

I went to the OBGYN on Friday for my glucose test and my numbers weren't significantly good but they weren't bad enough for the Dr. to be to concerned. He'll check my sugars again at my next appointment in 4 weeks! I am thankful that for the first time in 24 weeks I am allowed to go longer than 2 weeks between appointments! YAY!

This little fella in my tummy is growing, growing, growing. We had a hard time getting an ultrasound on Friday because he was such a busy body from the sugar high he was on from the test. We will discuss at my next appointment (I'll be 28 weeks) our delivery plan. Breezy is suppose to go away for the month of May so we need to try to get an idea of if he should go or if he should hang tight. The original plan was to induce at 36 weeks, we said no 37 weeks but we'll see as we get a little closer. At this point I've not even started preparing for his arrival so he needs to hang tight for just a little bit longer! I am thankful that we are finally on track with his growth and development and that he reminds me everyday what a gift "Life" is!

Lastly, I'm very thankful that for 2 Sunday's in a row we've had over 50 in Sunday School!!!!

Odds and Ends

I've got a few things I thought I'd "show" you, my bloggy friend Clark's Valentines for his friends at Sunday School and for his German Kindergarten friends!

I found these on Etsy and couldn't be happier!

Remember Little Leighton that way born 6 weeks early last May? Well here she is now in her new TuTu and Flower headband at almost 8 mos old. I called her Momma up about 2 weeks ago to find out if she already had a TuTu and thankfully Anna said NO...Of course I had to get her one right away. It was her Valentine's Day prize from our family! She's such a priss and since boys are my future she will be spoiled. I can NOT wait to get back to Alabama and give her a big squeeze! Breezy, Clark and I all miss her tons!

My Strongtower...
That's what our family is relying on. Wesley's momma visited with the Surgeon on Monday and we are praising God that the biopsy's ALL came back clean. The Surgeon did find more cancer during the surgery but he is sure that he was able to "Clean Her Up" really well. She also met with the Oncologist on Tuesday and was given a good report. The Oncologist has suggested as previously mentioned 6 weeks of radiation and a continuation of hormone therapy which will be discussed at length after the radiation has been completed. The Oncologist alsosuggested that my mother in law "consider yourself healed". I am praying and believing in the name of Jesus that he is right! We are thankful that she is healing well from the surgery and that the remainder of her treatment will be quick and highly successful!
Thank you for your prayers they have been felt and greatly appreciated.

In other news, the Drs here at our health clinic, after 5 long, itchy weeks, think that they have FINALLY pinpointed what this mess is all over my body...Pityriasis Rosea. Our Physicians Assitant pulled out his book on Tuesday when I took Clark in for a strep test (that was DEFINATELY positive) and said he's almost positive that it came because of me having Strep/Upper Respiratory/Ear Infections and the Flu all at once prior to Christmas. He said this is a viral infection that my body is just having a very difficult time fighting off....Imagine That!
My body has been through enough in 24 weeks to last the rest of my lifetime. It's been doing a lot of fighting so I can just imagine that my immunity is rather low. On Friday I go for my Glucose screening and will also have my liver enzymes checked as well. Drs. want to be sure there is nothing going on.

Its only 9:30 p.m. Breezy is on nights so I'm going to get a head start on some sleep. This little fella in my tummy likes to give me a run for my money starting about 10:00 p.m. every night. I sure hope he's not as wild outside of the womb as he is on the inside. He's given his momma a run for her money already. If he is wild he'll be just like his brother and we'll be just as happy!

Breast Cancer.....Cornering our Family

Hi Friends!
As you can tell from the title of this post our family has been struck by a very deadly disease. My precious, precious MIL was diagnosed at the beginning of this year with a rare form of Breast Cancer. I am not exactly sure of the type/name but I do know that only 2% to 3% of women, ages 48-62 are normally diagnosed with this specific type of breast cancer. The survival rate is good if detected early.

She was having her annual mammogram on 16 December when a lump was discovered in ONE of her breast. Shortly after on 22 December the lump was removed with difficulty during an outpatient biopsy and came back from pathology a few days later with the results that the tumor was indeed cancerous. She celebrated the holidays and met with the surgeons at the beginning of January to discuss her options.

1 week ago today Mrs. Mary underwent a partial masectomy and also had several lymphnods removed to be sent to pathology to determine if the cancer has continued to spread. We should get the results today as she meets with the Surgeons for her follow up. She will also meet with the Oncologist for the first time tomorrow. We do know that as soon as she heals completely from the masectomy that she will begin a long 5 days a week/6 week regiement of radiation therapy followed by hormone therapy. Chemotherapy may still be necessary if the lymphnods come back as cancerous as well. We'll know more after she gets the pathology report today.

Let me tell you my friends, my MIL loves the Lord with all of her being. She declared herself a Child of the King at a very early age and knows that if the Lord chooses not to heal her of this devestating disease that it is ENTIRELY in His Will. She's not mad, she's not sad, she may be afraid, but she is allowing the Lord to speak sweet peace and protection over her life during this time. She's one woman that I can say "Talks the Talk and Walks the Walk" all of the time. She is so real in her relationship with the Lord and you can see it lived out in her life. She is OUR Proverbs 31 woman, no doubt. Some people may assume that she is just putting on her game face and is playing off her emotions real well but I truly believe that she KNOWS that Healing OR Heaven are both in her favor. She's claiming Joshua 1:9 and Jeremiah 29:11 and has complete confidence that she's in the right hands! I stand in awe of her faith and am encouraged by her determined spirit.

Please join us in praying for her and for our family as we journey through this TOGETHER. Breezy and I are very thankful that his 3 other siblings are close by to walk with her side by side, and as we walk with her via the telephone, internet and most importantly prayer.
We won't be able to be home with her until after the baby is born due to the complications I have had/am having, but we know that there is a reason for everything. She was planning to be here for Breezy Baby's birth but unfortunately it will be utterly impossible for her to come.

Please pray that we can make all the arrangements with our Dr. and purchase the neccessary equipment so that we can use our laptop during the deliver if possible so that she can join us via web-cam. The hospital here is not internet friendly so we must purchase a "media stick/anywhere internet stick" for the laptop and pray that it works. ALL things will work together for the good....because we've got God on our side!

Here's Where We're Standing

Whoa...what a whirlwind the last few weeks have been, once again. Things have been at a pace that I've tolerated well, but there has still been so much going on that sometimes I feel like I need to remember to come up for air.

Before I start running my mouth thought I'd show you all a photo of the bedding that we've picked out and ordered for our newest family member. He will be sharing a room with us since we'll be moving soon after he is born, so this is in the same color scheme as our bedding.

In the last 3 weeks I have been to the Drs. office 5 times;

2 with my OB. One visit for this mystery rash and the second for my regular appointment. Baby Breezy is growing and if everything goes as planned I will be induced around the 37th week. I've decided to try for a VBAC at this time, but if we do not deliver by 39 weeks I will have a c-section. I had a hard delivery via c-section with Clark, but never have regretted it once. I want to give natural deliver a chance since I will have a 3 year old and the recovery time will be much easier. We will see what is in store for us as the day's draw closer.

1 appointment at the health clinic for this mystery rash. Supposedly it's an allergy to "something". Your guess is as good as mine.

2 appointments with an Allergy Specalist. I was in and out of the exam room in less than 10 minutes, leaving very frustrated both times and still searching for answers. He seems to "think" I have a special type of eczema...but he's not sure. I wish I could explain to you the intensity of the itching this rash has brought about. He gave me some white lotion to apply twice a day. Friends, this rash covers my body literally from the top of my head to the top of my feet and is progressively getting worse. One bottle of this lotion lasted me 4 days and you can't just "dot" it on it's like a sponge bath in Calamine. Thankfully I have a husband who does not mind "body painting" or a 3 year old who thinks helping daddy paint is lots of fun! So..this Specialist says, there is nothing more he can do for me.

On Wednesday Clark and I were finger painting our Valentines for the Grands. We'll my bladder decided that it needed a break so off the bathroom I rushed. In the mere 5 minutes I was in the bathroom, the next room over, Clark proceeded to undress down to his undies and "body paint" himself. I'm thankful it wasn't on the walls or floors but I died laughing. I desperately wanted to take photos but I decided that if I did that he might think that it was OK to try it out again later so off to the bathtub we went. He keeps me laughing everyday!

Well friends,

It's finally 2010. It seems to me like 2009 just flew right on by. I'm ready to see what this New Year will bring. I'm hoping for peace of mind/clear thinking (we will only hope my pregnant brain will cooperate), good health and lots of memories made with my family!

We have so much to look forward to and be thankful for in this coming year!

OR a Trip to ALABAMA for 4 weeks!

Our newest miracle will arrive in May (hopefully no sooner)

Wes will have lots of training and schools to attend February thru June

Breezy's parents and My parents coming for their first visits in June and July

Most importantly to us our last FULL year spent in Germany. We've got high hopes that we will go home in the fall of 2010 but it could be the winter of 2011.We're crossing our fingers :-).

I'm Going NUTS

Last Tuesday I broke out in a mysterious rash from the top of my head(literally) to the bottom of my feet. Benadryl hasn't helped much at all except for putting me out for a few hours. I went to see my OBGYN yesterday in hopes that he would tell me it's just my hormones....NOPE. He has no idea what it could be. He's almost sure its an allergy of some kind, but an allergy to WHAT. The problem is, even with the meds he gave me it's getting WORSE. I'm about to scratch myself silly friends. Poor Clark told me earlier I had too many polka dots!

AND on top of that I'm already suffering from issues with my Sciatic Nerve. I also had problems with Clark around 33 weeks to the point of not being able to sit comfortably, bend over or walk. I'm already to the bending point. YUCK.

If it's not one thing its another. This pregnancy can only get better....right? I just keep thinking of our little blessing that will be the end result.

In other news, we are not having a girl. For those of you who crossed your fingers, you can uncross them....a boy it will be. No doubts! He lifted his little legs up over his head for the whole world to see his little petey! Breezy had a big smile on his face when I shared the news with him yesterday.

Breezy is working late tonight so Clark and I are headed up to see him for a little while. Clark is hoping that he can see one of Daddy's big helicopters. One of our favorite Pilots is flying so maybe Clarke will be lucky.

I'm sitting here in the living room of MY apartment and I am perfectly content. I enjoyed our vacation get away but friend it's going to take me a week to recover. I love being in my jammies, sitting on my couch, watching a movie with my handsome hubby while Breezy Baby is sleeping! I enjoyed getting away with my boys, but whoa momma I'm tuckered out. It might be the last big trip we take before Baby Breezy graces us in May, unless I'm a nice wife and we head to Ireland for Breezy's birthday in February. I'm headed to bed. Just wanted to let you know we're home safe! Hope you all enjoyed spending the holiday's with those special people in your lives!

It's Christmas Eve. We've had a busy day. I fed 4 single soldiers and our family lunch, made Gingerbread Men and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies, then followed up by feeding the same individuals Nacho's and Burritos for Dinner. I've still got "WORK" to do after my sweet little wee man gets to bed.

It's 8:56 p.m. I'm sitting on my bed and it just hit me that I miss my mamma and daddy something bad. I was FINALLY able to talk with them via Skype today and it was nice to hear that they are excited about celebrating Christmas in the ATL with my Aunts and Uncles. I wish I was there BUT in the same breath I know that my Heavenly Father has a reason for me staying here in Germany for the holidays. Wes and I have been given the opportunity to share with 4 soldiers who were unable to be with their families. I've said it before and I'll say it again; any time the Lord allows us to bless others we are more blessed in return.

I'm going to shower and crawl into my new jammies that my husband bought to follow the tradition my mom and Dad started when I was 2 years old. I've always opened my jammies on Christmas Eve and Wesley knew how important it was for me. Clark and Wes got new jammies too!

Hi Friends!
Breezy, Clark and I have been in the Alps since Monday and are enjoying some much needed and deserved R & R. Believe it or not, its 11:30 a.m. and I'm sitting here freshly showered and back in my jammies. We rented an apartment with an amazing view in a quaint little town in the middle of nowhere. It's just what we needed and will plan to come back next year with our family of 4 :-) to celebrate Christmas UNLESS we are finally settled in our new home back in the US of A.

Speaking of family of 4, today I am proud to say that today I have made it to 19 weeks. I have been free of bleeding or any other complications for nearly 3 weeks. I had an appointment last week and the Dr. was thrilled to see me. He said he had missed our weekly/daily visits with one another. My blood pressure is still running a little low but with a little nap midday I seem to be shoveling along! We were pretty positive that the baby was a boy but the little boy part seem to either be hidden or we're having a little girl. We'll see at our next appointment in the New Year.

I've actually had time to just sit and read, something I never get to do but thoroughly enjoy. I started this book while I was in the hospital back in November but have not had a moment to sit and read anymore since then. I have been blessed beyond measures from reading the words of Marilynn Blackaby. If you are a "home maker" like I am then you too will be blessed by this reading. I'm not sure if you can get it at L*f*Way but I know its available from several sites on the web. We're looking forward to a couple of single soldiers joining us tomorrow to celebrate the Christmas. They were unable to return home to the families so we've invited them to join us here in the Alps. They will be a lot of fun to have here especially on Christmas Day. We've been telling Clark that we're having a birthday party for Jesus so he insisted we make Him a Chocolate Cake.

I'll be back in a day or two with photos I hope. Vacation Day #3 and I have yet to take any photos. I'll be better I promise!

Me: We'll you are not welcome in my home
Mr. Flu: Well, I'm comin' in anyways. Like it or not!

despite not wanting to answer, Mr. Flu has just barged right in and I have had the flu not once but twice in less than 2 weeks. The first round hit Turkey Day evening and lasted for 4 days. This time it hit me on Saturday night and hit FULL FORCE within about 12 hours. I went to the clinic yesterday because I just couldn't stand the sore throat anymore and on top of the flu I also have strep. I hate those yucky throat swabs and giving a nice sample of my blood, but thankfully b/c I was a willing participant I was given some Penicillin that has made me feel somewhat better today.

I have told Wes over and over again in the last 2 weeks that the last 7 weeks of my life have been pure he**. Between 2 hospital stays, 5 weeks of bed rest, the flu twice, and just being outright homesick, I'm ready for a break. My friends keep reminding me that I MUST rest and find my perseverance and strength in my Lord. I;m doing my very best...Promise!

Friends, its in times like this when I become so weary that I totally begin to question my own faith. I know that the nasty/ugly things I am feeling are not those of those of the ONE who Cherish me, but of the one who despises the great things that are also happening in the midst of what seems like a disaster to me. I know that God brought my family to Germany for a reason 3 1/2 years ago. I know that we extended to stay here for another year for a reason. I know that I was blessed with the REC Position at our chapel for a reason within 1 week of returning. I know that this sweet little boy growing inside of my belly and the pregnancy complications are no surprise to my Lord. More importantly, I know that this worn out, ready to call it quits feeling is NOT ok. I can feel that I am being refreshed slowly but surely and finding that as always my Lord wants ALL of me even the minute pieces that I don't think are important enough to lay at his feet.

Give Thanks With a Grateful Heart

My dear friends;

I know it seems like every time I come here to blog I have been MIA for some reason. For that I apologize...again. In the last week I have had a lot to process and a lot of decisions to make and that includes making a lot more time for those people that are important in my life. The REC/Program's ministry has kept me so busy that in many ways I have been negligent of many of the more important things. I have always said if and when I ever begin to put Ministry/my work above my "family" someone PLEASE be bold enough to tell me. We all need a reality check from time to time from the inside out.

Once again. I was in the hospital for 4 more days from Friday-Monday with MORE pregnancy complications. I believe my body is finally on the mends now and we are on the way to being able to carry this baby until full term. On November 8th during routine ultrasound the OBGYN discovered a large hematoma (about 12 or 13 cm by about 5 or 6 cm) that had attached itself to the bottom of my uterus. I was assured that it would not harm the baby but that it could become a free bleeder of old blood....we'll it did. I started bleeding Monday the 16th and bleed for exactly 7 days. The hospital/bed rest did help the mass to shrink greatly in size but when we measured yesterday it was still about 5 cm by 2 cm. I understand that this shrinking process could happen quickly or it may bleed more, or it may just remain until the baby is born.

On another note, when I was first admitted on the 28th of October for bleeding we never really got any clear answers. We knew that there were 2 cyst/sac like obstructions that were attached to my placenta, and one of them ruptured and the 2nd one reabsorbed itself...THANK GOODNESS. After seeing a specialist yesterday and spending close to 2 hours with him, he is more than positive that the fluid filled sacs were more than likely baby's B and C. When he told me that I almost fell off the ultrasound table. I can't even begin to imagine what I would do with TRIPLETS.

We were very impressed with Dr. Reu and he has said that since I am considered to be very high risk at this time (between the bleeding's and my blood pressure)he would consider be seeing him through the remaining 5 1/2 months. Wes and I are weighing our options and will make a decision in the next few days.

BUT....Today I am thankful for a few things and I wanted to share that with you :
* Breezy, Clark and I are spending this Thanksgiving together in OUR home not in different countries.
* Breezy made it home from playing war safely and on time. God is our Strong Tower.
* Clark has been close to sickness free for almost one year
* I am almost back to healthy and praising God for being my Great Physician.
* I am carrying a healthy baby BOY that we will call John Carsen or Carsen Lee.
* Our families that are back in the South :-) who will be eating Cajun Fried Turkey without me today.
* For serving in a ministry that is growing in amazing new directions
* Lastly, for my friends who have become my strength since I've not had very much of my own.

Happy Turkey Day Yall! Enjoy your families and friends as you celebrate the Great Things that God is doing and will continue to do in your lives!

The newest addition to our family!

I've known for 11 weeks that we are expecting but was waiting until the beginning of the 2nd trimester to share our news. We'll thanks to a good scare this week our news is out, because there is NO WAY to deny God's protection in our life in such a time as this.

I had a functional cyst on my placenta, the size of a banana, to rupture on Wednesday afternoon while I was napping with my Wee Man. I had no idea that I even had this creatures until it ruptured causing me to think I was loosing this little life that is STILL growing inside of me. I was awakened b/c I actually thought I had pee'd my pants (You can laugh because I surely did). I was so embarrassed and thankful that my husband was at work, but once I discovered I was bleeding I thought otherwise. I couldn't get my husband home from work fast enough. Thank God for 2 great friends and my neighbor who came to my side within minutes.

I was able to been seen in the Doctors office on Wednesday evening about 30 minutes after I discovered the mess and within 1 hour was admitted to the hospital in bed where I'd spend the next 2 days My doctor is straight forward and takes good care of his patients, if he thinks something is necessary....it's absolutely necessary.

There is a 2nd cyst that was the size of an Orange but thanks to some GOOD medicine and complete bed rest it is now about the size of a half-dollar. It is slowly shrinking. We hope that by Monday it will be completely dissolved and will not rupture in the mean time.

I am thankful that our baby is still growing and is healthy inside of me. I told my friends that came to sit by my hospital bed that God was protecting me from the inside out. I am so grateful that when my life could have become a mess of emotions God stopped me straight in my tracks (on the toilet) and said very clearly.."Hey You, Just wait....It's all under control. Throw it ALL off and depend on me." Friends when I say I heard him clearly, it was as if he was sitting there right beside me on the next toilet. I just said Alright....I am yours, this baby is yours, my family is yours....we will wait. So, here I am. Finally home but on bed rest until further notice. WAITING desperately for the Father!

I was close to being hospitalized last week also. This baby seems to be eating enough for itself and then eating all I need. HOGG!!!! I was going to have to go in for nutrient infusions but thankfully the supplements I am taking are doing the trick. Besides sleeping all the time and having to eat for what seems like 4 we're making progress.

Wes and I are desperate to know what God's intentions for our life at this point are. We've both come to realize that God is wanting more of US and less of everything else. We had to make the decision while I was in the hospital that I would put everything off, including school next semester until after the baby is born. I'll still work my few hours a week from home and 2 days a week at the chapel but I will be more concerned with my health and my family first and foremost.

I'd like to ask you to please continue to pray for Wes, Clark and I as we cope with the changes that are taking place. Bed Rest isn't easy for me. I'm not a good sitter. I can sit still long enough to read a People magazine and thats about all I am good for. I'm doing pretty good so far though but if this last until 14 weeks like it very possibly could I will be one miserable sole.

We've been blessed and the blessing are still flowing!

One Whopped Momma!

My life is like a race car these days....it seems to be going round and round, round and round.

I have finally finished up my mid-terms and the 2nd part of the semester is beginning. I will be so glad when 2-8 of November gets here when I will complete my finals and have a short little break. These classes are KILLING me. I'm so thankful I didn't decide to take Biology AND Math at the same time. I'm an American living in Germany, taking a German class, as an elective, and desperately trying to pass with a B.

Clark was sick with a pretty yucky case of bronchitis the entire week after his birthday. This crud is going around here as I'm sure it is back in the USA as well. His Kindergarten is infested with the crud and I'm so worried we'll get it again sooner than later. The Dr. here has started him on Abuterol as a precaution for Seasonal Asthma because of some of the symptoms he was having during his sickness. The inhaler actually seemed to help him tremendously, especially in the evenings.

Wesley started back to work Full Time on Monday and let me tell you I enjoy having him home, but I enjoy being able to keep my house clean as well. I've been able to keep it picked up for the last 3 days with no difficulties. Clark again is a little confused because Wes is back to working longer hours. I think he's afraid that Daddy won't come home.

The Batallion Homecoming Ball is next Friday and I'm very excited about going. I can't wait for you guys to see the differences in the pictures from 2 years ago. Of course, you remember I am 37 pounds lighter than the ball in September of 2007. My German friend Jeanette's sisters Ute and Madeline will be coming from their home town about 1 hour away to keep Clark for the night. He loves them both and it gives him a chance to work on his German and them a chance to work on their English. Ute would really like to go to America after she completes High School this year as a Nanny(Opair?). Maybe I will send MckMamma an e-mail and let her know that Ute is available!!!

The weather has quickly changed for us here. Today it is around 40 and I'm freezing. I'm a year round flip flop wearer, but today I actually decided that it might just be too cold for this tradition. I'm not sure my feet have re-adjusted to Germany yet, after being in Alabama last winter/summer. The German's can tell who the CRAZY American's are in the winter....mainly because of our shoes. This winter I won't get that title I don't think. I even had to order more winter clothes and hopefully they will arrive soon. Of course, I had to get Clark some things as well :-).

There are a few changes that are taking place in our family, but you'll have to hold out for a little while longer before I reveal these changes. I promise you guys will be one of the first ones to know!! I'm going to try (no promises) not to stay away for so long again. I've got to learn that I NEED to make time for you fellow readers...Especially Mrs. T

So for now...It's nap time :-) Need to take a rest so I can get on a research paper and 1000 word essay this afternoon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE MAN!!!

Our little fella turned 3 yesterday.
It's so hard to believe.
Time has flown by and it has surely been time that we have throughly enjoyed!
We invited around 12 families over for the party and ended up with a total of 47 people all together. It was very good fellowship and a blessing to spend the day with many of our friends who have been on leave since the deployment ended. Clark received many great gifts. I specifically asked (anyone that asked specifically what to get him) for "learning" type gifts. I was very thankful that he only received a handful of toys and mostly puzzles, books, computer games, German matching game and more of his Thomas train set.
Here are a few photos from his big PIRATE party! We had a big time. We are so thankful that our Papi was home from Iraq in time to celebrate with us for the first time ever in 3 years :-).

We're Still Kickin'

I'm here...do not worry I have not fallen off the face of the Earth. My life has been beyond nutty for the last 3 weeks. School has started and I am in knee deep already. My Sociology and Biology classes are fine but I got the wise idea of taking a German class as well and it's kicking my butt.

Clark has started attending the German Preschool 5 days a week from 8-12 and he just loves it. I was o.k. with sending him a few days a week but with working at the Chapel now and 13 credit hours of classes plus a house to keep up I am alright with him going everyday.

We've been dog sitting this week and these 2 little girlies have been like have 3 toddlers in our home (Clark plus Gracie and Heidi). Whoa!!! Their mommy and daddy went away to Spain for a week, but they are coming to get them this afternoon. They called and said they missed their girls!

Breezy is still only working half days which has been great. We've been getting a lot of things done here around our house which have been put on hold for sometime now. We'll be here until 2011 so we're pretty excited to make this house our "home" since we won't be leaving for a while.

We are missing Auburn and Florida football desperately. As soon as they both play big teams it MIGHT be on the t.v. here for us to see. Breezy and I are both hoping so.

Our Education Ministry at the Chapel just got kicked off last week. We had 42 ladies at Protestant Women of the Chapel, 12 Children in Kid's Worship and a total of 33 in Sunday School. I know and am trusting God to do amazing things in our Chapel this year. We have a new "Pastor" who has a heart to see our congregation and ministries grow and I am so pleased to be working along side him. I love being used by God as a tool to see his Plan fulfilled for the Kingdom.

I should run. Clark is sleeping and we're putting together his new bigboy bed from our German friends :-) maybe you'll get some photos!

Breezy and I are friends with a couple that are stationed here with us in Germany, Jeremy and Alana Jonas. Jeremy and Alana have been trying for several years to conceive and up to this point have had no luck. Jeremy and Alana both desire greatly to be parents, AND would make amazing parents. They are 2 of the greatest friends we've made here in Germany (and are very sad that they are leaving us in October).

The couple has been to speak with a specialist about their options and their first option would be In-Vitro Fertilization. The cost of having IF (In-Vitro Fertilization) is not really likely when you are living on an army salary. For some reason it seems that the IF process is more expensive here in Germany.

I would like to ask you all to do 2 things:
(What I am going to share with you is NOT a scam. It is all true and a cause that Breezy and I are both in full support of. )

1. Pray for Jeremy and Alana as they continue their journey to become parents whether through IF or adoption. They do desire to TRY to have their very own children first, but adoption is not completely out of the question. Alana comes from a family with 3 adopted siblings whom she ADORES!

2. Consider giving to the Donate to Procreate fund. All monies will be used for the purpose of IF for Jeremy and Alana AND all remaining funds will be used to contribute to the establishment of Donate to Procreate (Non-Profit Organization).

My Life As A Military Wife: Our Life Begins Again...Together

Friends-
I'm sorry i've been away for sometime but our family has been "reintegrating" army style. Breezy arrived home safe last Friday in the early afternoon and since then we have been non-stop. He has had to work 7 days straight and we are thankful that as of today he is off for the next 4. I have sent him away this morning to play some golf with his friends. Shh...I just needed him out of the house so I could get some things done (laundry, vacuum, dust, mop).

There as been a lot of things going on that has taken some getting used to again.
1. Clark absolutely adores his Daddy and wants to be wherever he is, but Daddy is so used to being alone so often that it has become a little bit overwhelming at times. We're doing our best to give Wes his little bit of "alone" time so that this doesn't begin to take an emotional toll on him.

2.I've gone from sleeping alone, in the middle of the bed, till 9 or 10 a.m. (YES Clark sleeps that late too) TO having my bed partner back, sleeping on my side of the bed and getting up most mornings by 6:30. Talk about a change in pace for ME. I've needed a nap everyday!

3. Laundry for Clark and I has been so simple over the last 13 months...2 Loads and we're done. Daddy came home and today I will be doing around 9 loads of laundry. We've got our regular laundry PLUS all of the Uniforms, PT's, etc. that he brought back that smell like inscents. YUCKY! Laundry is a stress reliever for me because I can go down to the basement for a little alone time, but man oh man more than 3 loads and it becomes a chore.

4. Cooking for a family of 3 instead of myself and Clark. I was eating so good before Wes came home, now we're eating lots of carbs. That will change though as soon as this Post Deployment Hunger runs away though :-). Dinner time, it's just one of those things I love most about being a family and that is sitting down together at the end of the day to enjoy a hot meal together to unwind and spend just a little bit of time together before bed. Thankful for a table to gather around!

Well for now thats about it. I have more laundry calling my name from the basement and a 3 year old who is reorganizing the newly organized DVD shelf. His Daddy might not be happy if he comes home and they aren't in their designated slot.

Breezy SHOULD be here anytime, but only time will tell (that means he is NOT in this video, but Miss April is). You can see Clark and I standing in the chairs trying to see. We are ready though for him at ANYTIME! I've been on a roll today, baked a key like cheese cake, chocolate cake and 2 loave fresh zuccini bread, did laundry, worked VBS from 9-12, gave Clark a haircut and cleaned up all the last minute stuff.

I've got a lot of pictures to post in a series of post over the next few days. Once Breezy is home I can catch up on my picture uploads and not leave you guys hanging anymore :-)

P.S. I just need to say one thing....
I hate no it alls and people who try to run my life just from reading my blog.

And The Count Down Has Begun.....

Hey Yall!

Miss. April our 2nd favorite solider, one of my dearest friends and Clark's amazing babysitter is only HOURS now from arriving home with the first group of soliders from this long, drawn out deployment. She is in port now waiting for her flight back here. We've got our Welcome Home Miss April sign in the car, our clothes ironed, the house cleaned and stocked with tons of food...We're ready to go pick her up. Miss April is a single solider, but we've GLADLY welcomed her into our home as part of our family.

Breezy still has to make it to port and will come home to us later this week, but we're not sure when as of yet. We are beyond excitied for his homecoming. Can you hear the excitment? Clark and I have been busy making posters and decorating our stairwell, cleaning, working in our little yard and getting Daddy a Basket made with all of his favorite things. We've only been able to speak with Breezy every few days because he's so busy getting things ready to hand over to the Batallion that will replace our Batallion. He's still working long hours and getting very little sleep so being home in a matter of days will be soo good for him AND for Clark and I.

Even more exciting news, I am pleased to announce that I was called to serve as the Religious Education Coordinator for our chapel here in Germany. It is only a one year position then I will have to go through the entire process again. I'm not sure we'll be here any longer than a year so it works out perfectly. I am so excitied about the opputunity to serve our chapel family. I will ALSO be doing a lot of work with the Children's Ministry as well and that gets me sooo excitied. I'm ready to see what plans the Lord has in store for me and where he is going to move this ministry too.

It's time to get the laundry started. One LARG cup of joe and some Thomas the Train and I'm ready to start my day....sorta.

Hi You All!

Just wanted to let you know that Clark and I are getting ready for a big Welcome Home Celebration at our House. The word is that we should have our soldier back by the end of the 2nd week of August. I spoke with Wesley today and last night FINALLY after not hearing from him in 3 days. He has moved into transition housing and the National Guard Unit from NC is there to replace them. All of the soldiers are hot and not getting much rest because of the heat. They are all very worn out and ready for this to be over with, as well as the spouses. It's work, work and more work until they finally get on the plane to fly.

Clark and I will go to the Hangar next week to Welcome his favorite babysitter Mrs. April home. She's returning with the first group of soldiers and we are looking forward to being there as her "Family" when she is released. We've made posters for Mrs. April and Daddy and we have a countdown calendar outside of our door for the both of them. It's been busy here, we've prepared single soldier rooms, we're hanging Red White and Blue ribbons this weekend and our big Welcome Home Sign, we're planning the Re-Deployment Ball for October and getting things ready here at home as well. This weekend we'll be decorating the stairwell with our Neighbor Mrs. Sara to welcome home our Daddy and Sara's husband Curtis (or Curty as Clark calls him).

I am proud to report that I have a potty trained kid (poop and all). He has done outstanding the last 2 weeks. It was like we got here and something clicked. We've had only 2 accidents in 2 weeks and those were during nap time and while playing with his buddies. He enjoys flushing the toilet the most...Pushing the Clark button but NOT daddy's button (Jonathan and Anna know what I'm talking about). I'm so proud of him and how well he has adjusted to being back here in Germany. It's made this transition so much easier. He is ready to go to his Schule (school). We walk by there everyday and he ask if he can go see his teacher. We've got our backpack, german slippers, we're potty trained and so we're ready to go! AND..Clark is going to be playing Soccer starting August 31. He will be on the 3-5 year old team. Wes is very excitied about teaching Clark a new sport.

On another note. I was offered a job my first Sunday back at church. I have done most of the paper work and have met with the Chaplain and word is that the contract is MINE.I meet all the requirements and more. I will be the Religious Education Coordinator for our post Protestant and Catholic. I will work only 1 day during the week (possibly from home unless they need me at the chapel), one Day a month for meetings, and on Sundays. I'm excited but will know for sure hopefully by the end of this week. This paper work process has been excruciating.

Lastly...I'm going to have completed my AA by May. I am taking 5 classes this semester and will finish with an AA and immediately transfer back to BCF to complete my degree in May. It's all in the works at BCF all ready! EOCC will not work with me on the Early Childhood Program and I will finish my degree quicker by returning to BCF to complete the Christian Education Program. LONG STORY SHORT.

I'm working on some paper work for the new job now so I should get back to that. I hope to hear from some of you soon!

I am not sure how many of you have noticed Precious Stellan in my side bar OR read/have read McMamma's Blog but Sweet Stellan is not doing well AT ALL. Read McMamma's Blog "My Charming Kids" to get the whole scoop. Here is what I can tell you, Sweet Man's heart is failing as well as his kidney's, his body temps are low and he is vommiting in excess. He has what is known as SVT and because of his age he is unable to recieve any more real aggressive treatments, as he has had in the past. He is the brother to 3 older sibilings, and son to one of the best mom's I have ever "met". Please friends, flood the gates of Heaven with me on behalf of this little fella. The Father has a plan for him as we all know, but pray that his mom Jennifer and his Father "Prince Charming" would see this plan revealed right before them.

I'm not able to go into much detail, one for the safety of my beloved Breezy and our Battalion and secondly due to the nature of the incident Breezy is not at liberty to share anything that he knows (which is more than I ever want to know AND I do NOT know). After reading this article US Military In Iraq Say 3 Soliders Killed please begin to pray specifically for the soldiers of our Battalion 3-159th ARB, and for the families and other Battalions that were DIRECTLY involved.

Thanks be to our Jesus for sparing the soliders of 3-159th ARB from any danger. I can report that all of our soliders are safe and ALL counted for and other than offering up assistance none of our soldiers were directly affected.

The Ways of Life for Some......

Since i've been back in Germany I have once again become familiar with the question "Have You Heard........?". When I was back in Alabama I did get asked that question several times by my friends that remained here in Germany for the deployment and most of the time my answer was NO. Now, I'm hearing the question face to face and my answer, sadly enough is YES.

I would love to tell you some of the things that have been brought to my attention, but I will not allude to someone else's disgrace and filth. There are spouses here on our post that are living very distasterful lives and it disgust me, makes me want to puke. I wouldn't ever want my husband to hear that my behavior has been such as theirs. I wouldn't want him to come home to me in that same condition. I'd hate to know how their spouses feel about their behavior.

Friends let me say one thing very clearly......
I hate rumors. I hate being a part of rumors. I hate gossip. I hate being a part of gossip. I want to say ...... IF you think you need to include me in your gossip....check your facts first, ASK. I'm pretty open to telling the truth, sometimes a little harshly at that. Scripture tells us that the Words of our Mouths and the Meditations of our hearts should ALWAYS in everything be pleasing to Him. That is my desire. I will have NO PART in the rumors or the gossip. My husband will not be a part of the rumors or the gossip. My family will be free from the "disease" that is killing so many families so quickly.

Sorry for the rants, but I needed to get this off my chest.

Home Sweet Home

Hi Friends!
Clark and I made the trek back to Germany. My big man was a champ on the plane and I couldn't even begin to thank him for that. We did sleep some, but not very much. We arrived here in Germany around 10 and guess what i did first.....I WENT OUTLET SHOPPING! My friend Tracy picked me up and we decided that it was best for me to stay busy and to keep big man busy so that we would sleep at night. And that we did...15 1/2 hours.

We've been busy non-stop since we got here. I've cleaned a lot, but I'm going to be doing a lot more in the next few weeks before Wesley gets home. Clark has played his little heart out in his new big boy bedroom and with our German friends whom live down the street.

We took a visit to Clark's new Preschool/German Kindergarten today and it is so nice. He got to visit with the class he will be in and his teachers seem so nice. He will start in September and go from 8-Noon everyday. I'm just as excited about him going as he is. Clark will be in the same class as his buddy Benjamin.

Well friends...all is well here. I am safe. I am very very tired so I am outta here! Please be in prayer for my bloggy friend Mrs. T over at Gatherings. Her precious momma, went to be with Jesus over the weekend and it was very unexpected.

Hi Friends!

Last Wednesday I left Dothan at 9 a.m. headed to Atlanta for an overnight trip so that I could drop my car off to be shipped on Thursday. My cousin Taylor (14), Clark and I would do a 24 hour turn around and make the trip back home with another cousin Jessie (19). We spent Wednesday evening swimming at my aunt and uncles in Social Circle and having a GREAT dinner at Applebee's with our cousin Shane and his Fiance Dana. Thursday we got my car sent off at the Vehicle Processing Center and headed back to D-Town before 1 p.m. Seeing that inspector drive my car to the parking garage was like a breathe of fresh air for me. BY August 17th my car will be in Germany for us to pick up and enjoy for the next portion of our tour.

The Celebration of our Country's Independence has come and gone and man oh man am I still worn out. Clark and I had a VERY busy weekend with lots of the "Clark" (that's my maiden name...remember) family here for a Semi-Family Reunion.

By Friday evening we had around 25 people here at our house and enough food to feed an Army. My uncles and aunts prepared 15 pounds of hamburger meat, 48 hot dogs and of course beans, stewed squash, pasta salad, fresh field peas, pound cake, baked beans and all the fixings! It was a great night.

Saturday we started all over again. Clark and I headed over to "Gilmore Farms" for a 4th of July picnic as tradition always holds. It was so hott, but let me tell you my boy loves to be outside, hot or not. We arrived around 1130 but only stayed until about 130 because of all the family arriving back at our house for the day and a nap was needed by Clark...desperately. After a good nap and lots of good food (today we had 4 whole pork loins, 3 boston butts, chicken breast, deer sausage fresh green beans and peas, corn on the cob, pasta salad, squash, lots and lots of sweets and watermelon) we broke out the swimming pool and water hose to cool off a little. I think the big kids/adults enjoyed it more than the kiddo's did.We spent the afternoon relaxing on the back porch in the shade and just really enjoying each other's company. At dark we decided to put up the Volleyball net and get our game on. I think the older adults enjoyed watching us younger adults/grandkids make a fool of ourselves.

It sure was a great 4th of July with a lot of family we won't be seeing again until we return from Germany in 2011.

They are a dark chocolate brown/purpleish with a hint of wood grain on the front corners and the sides with a little bling bling as well. My other glasses just sorta disappeared this past week. I'm not sure if I threw them in the garbage in the process of cleaning up and cleaning out or if a little boy named Clark has hid them from me.
All I know is that I'm driving my SUV to Atlanta this week to the Vehicle Processing Center to be shipped to Germany and I need my "Eyes" to drive to and fro!

"PRJ Old Folk"

WHOA...what a whirlwind of a weekend. Here's a little re-cap for you all!

Friday- Clark had swimming lessons and passed his little test with flying colors. Kid loves the water and for that I am pleased. His mommy and daddy absolutely adore the beach and are delighted to know that we can take him there anytime and he's one happy and content boy. Side Note: Breezy proposed to me on the beach b/c it's a place where we love to spend time together, even before we were married.
Friday evening was spend relaxing at home doing much of nothing. Clark took a nap at 5 and slept till 7. He was pooped little boy. He was back in bed by 10:30.

Saturday: Clark and I got up around 8ish and headed out to the Poker Run for TAPS, which was unsuccessful yet again. I was very disappointed. Our Event Coordinator has another plan in the works. I won't be around to see if fulfilled but hopefully he'll get a good turn out. This event was my last event with TAPS. Today I am placing my letter of resignation in the mail. Due to some unforeseen circumstances and me moving away Breezy and I have decided that it's time for me to step down. It was a hard decision to make because I love those little girlies and desire to see them in their tap shoes for years to come. I just pray that the funds continue to come in and TAPS, Inc. can remain a faithful, profitable Non-Profit Organization.

Our Friend Ethan turned 5 on Saturday and I turned 26. Clark and I celebrated with Ethan at a big birthday bash hosted by his Mom and Manda (from Snatches of Time). It was a lot of fun, definitely a birthday party Ethan won't forget, especially since Manda took probably 200 plus photos.

Saturday night my mom and I had a date night. We got all dressed up and headed to the Opera House for the Patti Rutland Jazz Re:Union Show. Oh friends, I had the best time. There were girls/guys there that I started dancing with when I was 6 (some of these people were Sr. Company at the time I started dancing). Patti Rutland Jazz was originally started in 1989 when I was in kindergarten. I actually became a part of PRJ when I was 7 or 8 and was in Pee Wee Company. I made my way to Jr. Company, left for a couple of years to dance at the Kelly School of Dance and came back to be a part of the actual "PRJ" for 2 years. Times I will NEVER forget. There were around 28 of us there that were "OLD" PRJ memebers and maybe 12 of the "NEW" company memeber. The show was AMAZING. Seeing peices that were performed over the past 25 years. I danced in my seat, I cried, I laughed and most of all I just had an all out good time. RIP J.B. Beasly- this show was dedicated to you my friend!

Yesterday I packed up, cleaned out, picked up and looked for my Seeing Eye Glasses that have all of a sudden disappered. I am leaving in 2 weeks so I have alot to get done before that can happen. I had an amazing birthday dinner of Seafood with my family and finished up the meal with a homeade Butter Pecan Peach Cobbler. YUM-O made by my momma.

Today was a heck of a day...2 hours at Lyster Army Hospital at Ft. Rucker for the Dr. to tell me that Clark is 6 pounds overweight. Oh Yeah! I pointed to his belly and said...Mam' do you see any fat on this child. Absolutely not, he is SOLID. Yes, my kid does wear 4/5 T tops and 4 t bottoms and he's only 2 1/2, but he's built just like his Daddy, his mommy and his cousin Jason who is 6 foot tall or taller. I love my BIG boy! He had labs to test his cholestorol, thyroid, and something else.

I found all 3 of us new suitcases today. I picked up 2 Chocolate Brown Docker suitcases with the 360 degree wheels for 69.99 each for Wes and Imyself. I purchased a cute little Red 5 peice set for Clark for 99.00. When we travel back to Germany, I'm not only packing for Clark and I, but for Breezy too. He's been here twice and has enough clothes to dress for a summer without doing laundry! I'm just lacking luggage straps that I'm going to have our names monogrammed on and then....We're all ready to travel in style.

I've been stressing about all the expenses of moving back to Germany, but today I looked on the United Airlines webiste to discover that they do not have a checked baggage charge...THANK GOODNESS. I knew I needed to travel with atleast 3 suitcases, but now I can travel 2 bags each at no additional charge!!!

Ok, I'm rambling again. I'm heading to bed. Its 10:30 and tomorrow is going to be busy; Poker Run, Birthday party and the Patti Rutland Jazz, Re:Union Show at 7!

Life As A Military Wife: Joy Comes in the Morning

Hey Yall!!
I've not been MIA since my last post on the 19th I've just been a busy momma. I've been trying to keep Clark very occupied so that he isn't missing his D-A-D-D-Y (we spell his name, we don't say his name unless we are actually "talking to" Daddy) as much as he has been. Friends, it's been a little rocky for Clark, especially at bedtime. We're making progress though and each day is getting a little easier.

Breezy FINALLY arrived back at camp on the 23rd. He left here on the 19th. It was a long trip for him and he was very exhausted upon arriving. Thankfully he had the night off and next day so was able to get some much needed rest. Of course, we're missing him like crazy, but we're looking forward to his return in early August. I've even got a new dress to wear already :-)

We've been attending swimming lessons at Westgate for the last 2 weeks and my little "Shark" is doing great. He told his instructor Alexis on Tuesday that he wasn't a fish, he was a "Shawk". We've spent a lot of time in the pool over the last few weeks and I must say I love every minute of it, but the joy Clark shares with me while swimming makes each new day a little brighter. I took Clark over to my best friends parents on Monday to go swimming and before I knew it he was jumping off the diving board and going down the slide ALONE...now of course there was an adult watching him at all times. I purchased some Speedo Water Wings this year from Target and they've been the best investment I've made all summer. They are a little big, but they do their job by keeping my little Shark's head above water and by keeping him happy.

Let me give you a little update on baby Leighton since I've not done that in a while. She went for her Newborn check up with Dr. Williams last week and she's already growing like a weed. She has gone from 5 pounds 13 ounces and 18 3/4 inches long to 6 pounds 3 ounces and 20 inches long. She's starting to fill out a little and has a head full of blonde hair. She's just the cutest little thing.She's starting to outgrow her Newborn clothes and is fitting into her 0-3 months a little bit better. She pretty much sleeps, eats and pees (only pooping a little), but keeps her Mommy and Daddy on their toes. She has stollen all of our hearts. I have been spoiling her as much as possible....Breezy I promise not too much though! My friend Amanda from Snatches of Time photography stole some sweet shots of here earlier this week and they are so beautiful.

I'm having problems loading photos for some reason, but just as soon as I get this kink fixed, I've got MORE than enough to share with you. I'm waiting on the Play by Play Disney Vacation Posts until I can get the photos to go along because I know that's all you really care about anyways!

As for the title of my post...of course I've been a little down for the past few days, but this morning I woke up and discovered a joy that I haven't felt since Breezy left. The Lord gently reminded me that I am not in this alone. I've got an amazing support system (my parents, family and a small handful of faithful friends) and that the end is clearly in sight :-). I've got so many reasons to experience joy (I'll save that for another day) and there is not one reason why I shouldn't find a new reason everyday! So, today I'm going to get myself together, put on my REAL BIG girl panties and look for joy in the sweetness of being Breezy's wife and Clark's mommy and just BE! There's to much to be done to worry about being "down and out".

My Life As a Military Wife: The Beginning of the End

Today was yet again one of those days where we had to say goodbye to Breezy. Our time together was so very memorable and a time that I will cherish. I believe that our time together was God's was of refreshing our marriage before Breezy comes home for good within the next few months. We picked up right where we left off 11 months ago and fell in love as a family all over again. I'm thankful that I serve a God who is LOVE and who teaches me LOVE as well.

Clark and I really enjoyed having Daddy here for 2o days but we were both very sad this morning when we had to watch him cross thru security to go back to "Work" (as we told Clark). Friends, believe it or not I held myself together (for Clark's sake) until Clark went running after Breezy in the security line. I lost all of my composure. I got Clark back into my arms, we blew daddy some kisses and out the door we went...quickly. Clark and I both cried all the way to Wal-Mart. As we were strolling through the parking lot we heard a plane flying over and Clark said "There goes my Daddy, him's going back to Work." Then..everything was alright.

Clark and I have both been pretty good today, besides me feeling like 1/2 my heart is missing. Clark dosen't really understand, which I guess is a good thing. He knows that Daddy had to go bye bye and has made it clear that he knows that Daddy will be back, he just dosen't know when.

I decided yesterday that I'm going to look at today as the beginning of the end of this deployment. In only a few short weeks Clark and I will be packing our things here in Alabama and getting on a big plane ourselves and flying over the pond to Germany. We've been packing boxes of toys, home good, etc. getting ready to ship overseas. Only a few more weeks after our arrival in Germany we will begin to prepare for Breezy to join us in our "Home". Boy are we excitied about that!

We had a sign in our yard that Welcomed our soldier home. Well my mom took it down today. As it was falling to the ground Clark went running out of the house screaming and running as fast as he could to mom screaming "Thats My daddy don't you take him down". It was too late, I was hot and I wasn't going to put it back up. I tried to explain that we'd put it up again soon when Daddy comes back home.

On a more exciting note, we had our photos made AGAIN by Amanda at Snatches of Time Photography and she did an amazing job. She did a photo shoot of our family down at the Depot in Dothan and at Popular Head park. I'm planning to give you a sneak peak of Clark's photo shoot and our's as soon as I get a chance. I've already picked out my favorites but am having a very difficult time deciding what exactly I want.

I got an invitation today from Patti Rutland Simpson to attend a Re:Union party at her house after the Re:Union show next weekend. I danced with Patti for many years and was a part of Patti Rutland Jazz for just over 2 years. Many of the dances that the Company will be performing in this show are dances that we're performed during my days at Oz Performing Arts Center. I'm looking forward to the show next Saturday night and seeing many of my friends from my "younger" days! I'm thinking I might even go out and by myself a new dress to wear :-). How does black sound?

A Whirlwind of Fun

Friends, let me just tell you. The past 12 days have been some of the best days of my life. Spending time with my 2 boys and our families has been great.

Breezy FINALLY arrived here on Sunday 31 May after a long 11 month wait. After 48 hours of planes and airports he was suppose to arrive in Dothan around Noon but thankfully he made it to his connecting gate just in time to get on the 9:20 a.m. flight. He was coming and I only had one hour to get myself and Clark ready to go.

Clark was so sweet when he saw his Daddy for the first time. He checked Breezy over real good to make sure it was really who he thought it was and then he climbed up in his arms, took Daddy's face in both hands and said in the sweetest voice "Oh Yes, This is My Daddy!" I was almost in tears, but more relieved that Clark took to his Daddy with no hesitations. I sorta stepped back and let the boys have their moment and the joy that I experienced in my heart is unexplainable. It was a beautiful picture a Father's Love for his Son.

We've had a whirlwind of fun over the last 12 days. We spent the first 5 days with my parents in Dothan, pretty much just relaxing and getting things ready for vacation (SHOPPING TOO). We did make an overnight trip down to the Beach to hit up Pier Park and Dusty's for dinner. We left on the 4th to head down to Gainesville to get ready for the big Graduation of our niece on the 5th. We left on the 7th for Orlando until yesterday the 11th.

Orlando was an experience that Clark will hopefully look back on and remember...or at least somewhat. Between my FIL and myself we took over 600 photos. I won't bombard you guys with all the photos today, but I'll try to cover our R & R over a period of a few post. I'm sure you are all anxious to see Mickey too.

Breezy will be with us for about 7 more days. I'm not looking forward to him returning to his station of duty, but it makes me 4 weeks closer to heading back to our home in Germany and only a month or a little more to becoming a family of 3 living under one roof.

I'm one pooped mama and its 11:00 p.m. here so I'm heading off to get some beauty rest. Keep your eye out there's more to come.

My Life As A Military Wife: Playing the Waiting Game

Well as you can tell from the title "My Life As A Military Life" is back.
I'm hoping that in the weeks that come I'll have some other great things to blog about in regards to my life as SPC. Breezy's wife.

The day that we've waited 10 months for is SLOWLY approaching. Sometime this weekend our Rest and Relaxation time together as a family will finally begin. Breezy is due to fly out at the end of the week and his arrival here in Dothan is to follow a few days later. Thanks to the U.S. Army we will have to wait to know for sure if and when these events will actually occur.

Up until this month I really thought that the days were passing by with flying colors. It seems like May has been much, much longer. The days are definately getting longer and time is creeping around the clock in slow motion. My husband is the most patient person you will ever meet and waiting dosen't seem to bother him one bit, but me, i'm the most impatient person you'll ever meet. I hate to be left waiting for anything. I live on a schedule. I like to plan everything down to the minute and when things don't go like my head says they should I get all out of wach. Being an Army wife has helped this some but at the same time it has made me absolutely nuts. Don't ever say to me "Just Be Patient" thats pretty much the same as cursing at me...I Don't Wanna Be Patient, until I'm ready (well except with my Breezy and Breezy Baby) and well right now isn't the time. Anyways..I'm done with that spill.

Sometimes the "Hurry Up and Wait Game" really gets the best of me. They want our Soldiers to get things done in a hurry, but in the long run there is normally plenty of time left to play with. For instance, they tell us to have our soliders at the hangar by 11 a.m. to depart for a field training excersise, well maybe by 4 p.m. the soldiers are getting on the bus, and maybe by 5 p.m. they're pulling off post. Drives me nuts.

You know the country song "Waiting on A Woman"? That's what I feel like when it comes to being an Army Wife. The Army can take it's precious time, and I'll learn not to mind as time goes on.

I've been doing things a little along to pass the days away. Clark and I have done some shopping for Daddy (and for us too). He of course needed some new clothes to wear while he was here with us,and we needed to get a couple of things for ourselves too. Yes Girls, I do pick out majority of my hubby's clothing and most of the time tell him when and how to wear it. I'm pretty flexible though, I do usually try pick out the things that I know he like best. He loves to shop at Tilly's at Peir Park and at Pac Sun, but I like to shop at American Eagle, Old Navy and of course at the MAXX....I do compromise from time to time though. Isn't that what a good wife would do?

We're looking forward to some good times together while Breezy is home. We're going to spend most of our time in Florida in some SunShine I hope. Looking forward to some good rest, good food, and good memories made.

Real Quick Update

Baby Leighton Olivia was born 5-22-09 at 12:53 a.m. after many long hours of waiting. She was 5 pds, 3 ounces, 18 3/4 inches long. I'm not just a little proud am I?

Our little girlie has already been moved from the NICU to the Continuing Care Nursery and will only have to spend a few days there before going to the Well-Baby Nursery. No oxygen has been required thus far, showing that her little lungs are growing good!

Mom will be leaving the hospital on Sunday but will remain close by so that she can be with Leighton everyday, and they can come home togetther.

Today we are going to attempt to host the TAPS, Inc. Poker Run. I'm headed to Harley Davidson now to get this show started. IF we get rained out this event will be rescheduled!

Still Waiting

Today is the big day...Finally!
"A" was taken back into Labor and Delivery around 7 a.m. and her induction is well under way.
She has been given her epidural and she is now resting. Her Dr. looks like she is about 20 years old, Cute, quiet and just real laid back. "A" has a nurse at her beside that has been with her since she was taken back into L & D and she will be with her until "Baby L" arrives. "A" will have a team of 5-6 people for her care and there will also be a pediatric team of about 5-6 people just for the care baby.

We're Here....Waiting

Hey Friends!
I'm sitting here in Birmingham with the Gilmore's. "Baby L" is due to make her "Grandest" appearance tomorrow at some point. They will take "A" into Labor & Delivery between 6-8 a.m.

We got good news yesterday. Baby L is measuring around 36 weeks instead of 34 weeks which is excellent. She weighs around 5 pounds and 14 ounces. All of her little organs look developed and her lungs aren't too far behind. Maybe with a little oxygen she'll be good to go.

Please join me in prayer on "A'" and "Baby L's" behalf , if you are able, at 5 a.m. At that time they will come in and allow her to shower and prepare for the morning. Pray that tonight she will rest well and that she will be calm and experience a great sense of peace.

Urgent or Not So Urgent?

After a very restless night here in Dothan, we fumbled from our beds at 6 a.m. and headed towards Birmingham to check on "A" and "Baby L".

"A" had an ok night as far as resting, besides worrying about her husband "J" sleeping straight up in the chair beside her bed. She was able to get a little bit of rest, and is hoping to get a little more tonight (they are now in a bigger room with an extra "twin sized bed/couch").

The culture came back for the Lung Development test and the baby's lungs are not fully developed, but because of the risks of infection "A" is facing, she will be induced later this week. She will be 34 weeks and according to the Drs. at UAB as long as her blood pressure is remaining stable and a fever does not develope, she will proceed with a natural delivery as she had orignally planned.

"Baby L" is head down and still doing the wiggly dance inside of her mommy's nice warm belly despite the missing fluid. Because of the lack of fluid around her she now has less room to move, but is still moving frequently to let her Mommy know that she is A o.k. Her heart rate is good, so for now we're just waiting for her to grow for a few more days before she arrives.

So...what was so urgent here in Dothan, in Birmingham is just a typical case that they see every single day. We're feeling alot better about the situation. The Drs. and nurses are all very reassuring to "J" and "A", and are helping them both to feel more confident about "Baby L's" delivery.

Do any of you moms out there have any suggestions for "A" and "J" as they bring a premie into the world or for the delivery?

I just heard from my aunt and "A" is all settled in at UAB. She has been seen by the OBGYN and the Pediatrician and as of right now they are playing the waiting game. "A" has not dialated anymore, but as lost almost all of the amniotic fluid. They are trying to obtain a sample of the fluid to test the development of "Baby L's" lungs. "A" will be 34 weeks on Thursday, if "Baby L" has not made her grand entrance, the Dr. will take the baby via c-section as a safety precaution.

We will leave here at 6 a.m. to travel to the hospital tommorrow to spend some time with our family.

FRIENDS...
I received a call this morning that my cousin/one of my very best friends water had broken and she and her husband we're on their way to SEAMC. "A" isn't due until 1 July so going into labor today makes her about 5 1/2 weeks early. Had she been 4 days further along Dr. P said he would have felt better about keeping her here, but he dosen't want to risk ANYTHING. Dr. P being the great Dr. that he is has sent her by ambulance to UAB Women and Infant's Center in Birmingham and another Dr. P will recieve here there. I believe this was the best decision for her. The Dr. explained that even if "Baby L" was born today she would be sent to Birmingham anyways because of under developed lungs, so it was best to send "A" while "Baby L" is still in her mommy's little incubator with the hopes that MAYBE delivery can hold off for 24-36 more hours. Mommy and baby's STATS are both very good and

"A" is on the road now traveling with CARE Ambulance and her nurse from the hospital. "A's" mom, step-mom and dear SIL are behind the Ambulance, my Aunt and Uncle are close behind them, and the "A''s" hubby is on the road too, a little further behind because we needed to get some bags packed for Mommy, Baby and Daddy.

Please pray for clear roads and safety of travely. Pray that ALL parties involved (including myself b/c Im a nervous wreck here in Dothan) would experience a calmness and a sense of control over the entire situation. Please pray for the OBGYN, Pediatric Drs, and Nurses that will be involved in the care of "A" and "Baby L".

Home Sweet Home

Clark and I spent the weekend in Florida with Breezy's family. My nephew Logan turned "2" on Saturday so we had to celebrate the big occasion. We had a very good time and Clark was on his very best behavior. It was nice to spend some time with Breezy's Mom and Dad. His dad has been kind ill with the Flu or something since last Tuesday so Clark and I just did our share of keeping him company.

My Mother's Day was a very good one. Its hard to believe that I've been a mom for a little over 2 years. It's been some of the best days of my life. I received a package from Breezy on Saturday evening that had the most beautiful flowers in it, Green roses with shades of pink and some Vera Wang perfume. They were from the Vera Wang collection on the www.FTD .com website. I'll post some photos as soon as all of the flowers have opened. They are still very tightly closed, but still BEAUTIFUL!! Breezy knows me best!! Thank you for surprising me all the way from Iraq. We had a wonderul lunch/dinner at Texas Roadhouse and it was so yummy.

Well friends Im sorry for such a blob on nonsense but Im rather tired from traveling today. I have alot more to say, but you'll have to wait for tommorrow to role around.

This would be my oldest niece Stephanie (or TeTe as Clark calls her), her sweetie pie of a boyfriend Jeremy, and also my 2nd oldest nephew Christopher. Steph is graduating from High School on the 5th of June at 6 p.m. and Christopher is completing the 8th grade with a graduation at 9 a.m. on the 5th of June as well.

Looking forward to you're new beginnings Stephie. Good Luck at Santa Fe in the Fall. I know you're saving for a Mac, but you should start saving for your trip to Germany too. You're going to look beautiful in your new dress :-).

Chris, Good Luck to you as you enter the High School in the fall. Hoping to see good grades and good behavior :-)

Sometimes I Feel Like.....

May is wiping me out already and we're only 8 days in. I've got so much to do and so little time it feels like to get it all accomplished.

Emotionally, the last 3 days have been a roller coaster.

I must ask you to pray specifically for my friends L and M and their 3 small children (3 weeks, 7 and 4). M is currently in the hospital receiving some much needed and very difficult treatment/rehab. I really want to share with you the details, but for M's safety and the privacy of the family I am going to withhold any other information. Just know that this is a very difficult and trying time for their families.

I've been working and worrying myself silly about getting everything together for the TAPS, Inc. Poker Run and Benefit Ride (Motorcycles and Classic/Antique Cars) on 23rd of May. Things are quickly coming together and the word is spreading fast. If any of you would like to make a shout out about this great opportunity PLEASE feel free too. This is a great chance for the folks in the Wiregrass to come out and meet our Special Steppers and to see what they are all about. If you can't ride and would like to make a contribution, we will have T-shirts for $15.00...and I must say they look pretty darn good thanks to my sweet Sis in Law!!!!

Clark and I took a trip to Dr. Beaucamp's office this week for a little meeting. It went very well and we're making some progress with some of the behavior/aggression issues that we've been dealing with. Dr. B is an amazing man who loves the Lord and loves his family and he and I seemed to see eye to eye on how I want to raise my Son. He suggested several books, and we will be attempting to do some play therapy, and I will also be working through a parenting workbook as well. Breezy and I will have one session together with him while he is home so that we can both be on the same page. There is a light finally creeping out at the end of the tunnel.

Let me say that potty training has gotten a little easier since the weather warmed up. Clark now wants to go outside to pee pee everytime he has to go, and he'll even tell us that he wants to. My thought; as long as he's not wetting his pants...a boy's gotta do what a boy's gotta do. We live in the middle of nowhere and about a 1/2 mile off the road so nobody can really tell what he's doing if they just drive by. We've been dry (with a few accidents and a pull up at night) for the most part.

Next order of buisnes...
Breezy will be leaving in 21 days to come home to see his family I can not wait. He decided to fly into Dothan and friends let me tell you I CAN NOT WAIT to pick him up from that little tiny airport. It's been a very long 10 months. I am so tired of being geographically seperated from my husband. Clark realizes that Daddy is coming home and ever helicopter that flys by our house or airplane that we see he says "Daddy's Airplane?"
AND
We got word that our guys could start arriving back in Germany as early as the beginning of August! That makes me so excitied. I will depart back to Germany on 12 July and will have very little time to wait before he onces again graces us with his arrival home!

Well friends I've had a migraine since yesterday around noon, Clark's still sleeping so I think I will find my way back under the covers :-)

Today I am resting, practically doing NOTHING, for the very first time in a long time.
This past weekend the Kelly School of Dance Presented their 13th annual recital and it was so nice to be a part of it. I must say that it's over and I'm actually kinda happy (but sad)

I want to tell you that Clark's photos are up at Snatches of Time and I am having a heck of a time deciding which ones I like the best. There are 322 photos to choose from. If you happen to take a look at them let me know which one is your favorite!

I'm counting down to the day when Breezy will be coming home (29/30 May hopefully), and friends let me tell you we're getting closer. We'll be spending a week in Orlando, a week in Panama City and who knows where else you might find us. Relaxing....i'm sure. Clark is so ready to see his Daddy and it's definately showing in his behavior.

Now that the recital is over I can concentrate on the Motorcycle Ride for TAPS, Inc. We will be riding 23 May. Our starting point will be at Harley-Davidson/Buell of Dothan at 9 a.m. with bikes out at 10 a.m. As of now we will have 5 stops, lunch at the BBQ Shack on Fortner with HOPEFULLY our final desitnation being the locaation of Dothan Powersports (still awaiting our call back from the owner :-) ) where the girls from TAPS, Inc. will perform and be available for photos, autographs, etc. If you know of anyone who rides please let them know that this ride is for a very good cause. Next year we are hoping that TAPS, Inc. can meet the needs of more chidren with Special Needs in the Wiregrass.

Clark and I had a FANTASTIC day today.

We started our morning off with a trip to the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens for a photo shoot with Amanda from Snatches of Time Photographycv(i'll get you guys the website). Clark was such a champ and Amanda captured him at his very best. The photo's will be amazing. I can't wait to give you a sneak peek . For any of you who are looking for a photographer with very very very reasonable rates please let me know and I will have her contact you. She was SO easy to work with and loves children. She's all about having fun and capturing your child just as he or she really is everyday. Nothing Fake!

We came home after a snack at McDonalds and rested a little while it cooled off outside. Around 5ish we made a dash for the carport and washed my car and Clark's "car" too. We had so much fun just playing with the water and the suds from the bubbles. It's amazing how easily children are entertained these days, especially mine.

We had a nice fresh seafood dinner with my Aunt and Uncle and Clark ate his belly full of fried Crab Claws. He kept telling us they were chicken on a stick...Whatever works right? I ate all the boiled stuffs. Tommorrow night we're having LOTS of fresh veggies and cababs. I'm very excitied!

I picked up the flower orders at the Studio today and TAPS sold almost 500.00 in flowers for the rectial which means we make a profit of around 250.00. Every little penny helps. I was pleased with the end results.

Tommorrow is the Lord's day and I've been asked to help my mom out with a few things around the house since my dad has been down in his back for several weeks now. We're planning to start our morning out with a trip to Lowe's , and then we'll spend the rest of the day out in the yard!!!

In better news...Breezy FINALLY got his Rest and Relaxation Date!! We'll be seeing him very soon, and we can not wait!

The Kelly School of Dance has consumed everyday of my week. Due to the severe weather we had a few weeks back we had to cancel several of my classes, SOO this week we are playing catch up. It's been a good week overall. Our 13th Annual Recital is NEXT Saturday and Sunday. On Wednesday my beloved 2 1/2 year old spilled HOT PINK Quick Dry nail polish on himself and the carpet. I had just finished dressing him in a new outfit of Lime and White seersucker shorts with anchors and a lime green matching polo. His shirt was covered, his pants had a few spots and his piggies looked Oh So Pretty! When I found him he told me "Ma, I paint my piggies likea you!" I love that little boy, but he's too darn sneaky. I guess he's ALL boy.

As we speak the kind people from OxyMagic are here at my house cleaning the carpet in our Den and Family Room. Thanks to my wonderful 2 1/2 year old again who is a potty training disaster. He can't seem to make it to the potty when he's watching the t.v. and what does he do....He teetee's right where he's at. God, love him!!

Today I received wonderful news that TAPS, Inc. has received a grant from Sam's Club to help in "Keeping the Art Alive". We are so excitied about this oppurtunity. For those of you who are Motorcycle Riders, we will be hosting a Poker Run/Ride on May 23rd. We are sorting out all the details and will have more info available by May 1. I do know Registration will be between $25.00 and $30.00 and that will include T-Shirts for the first 100 Riders registered. We're working on locations, door prizes, etc to finalize everything!

Its 2:50 a.m. and I'm wide awake with a list of things a mile long on my mind. I tried to talk some of them out with Breezy last night but I still am missing the peace that I was expecting to find through our conversation. Maybe you guys can help, if anything by just praying for me and with me.

I know everyone says boys will be boys, but can it get any worse. I know all children go through the "terrible twos phase", but my Clark's got it BAD. He will not do anything we ask him of him; clean up his toys, pee-pee on the potty, eat his food.clean up after he has eaten his food, stay in the bathtub once we finally get him in ride in the front of the shopping cart, etc. He has a reason for everything, "I'm to little, Not Yet, I all clean,, I too sleepy." He doesn't have time to stop for these things, its like it messes his whole mindset up.

Last night I came up stairs from the family room to find Clark peeing on the insole's from my father's shoes that he had pulled out. I'm not a spanker (and Clark doesn't get spanked that often), but I did spank him for this and Breezy justified my action by saying that he would have done the same thing, and that Clark's behavior was unacceptable.He's regressing on the potty training a little which I was warned sometimes happens with boys, but for crying out loud he's still peeing, everywhere but in the toilet (middle of the floor, outside, in his pull up when he's got one on, bathtub). I think he's doing this just to test the limits and see just how far he can get. He will tell you that he's "PeePee'd in Grammy's floor and bring you his wet undies." Suggestions, Suggestions, Suggestions!

I know I am a lot like my mother in a lot of ways. I was raised as an only child and I know that I NEEDED discipline and strict routine in my life. I was diagnosed with ADD/ADHD in 1st grade was later diagnosed with High Anxiety and Stress levels that were beyond you're average elementary school child, and to top that off I was later diagnosed with a mild form of OCD. I still struggle on a day to day bases, but thankfully I can control most of this with ONE simple little medication. As an adult I don't think I have ADHD, but I truly believe that the high levels of Anxiety and Stress sometimes control who I am and sometimes even my parenting. I know Clark can't be diagnosed with ADD/ADHD at 2 years old, but it has been proven to be hereditary. I'm worried already. I know he's just busy like any other 2 year old, but to compare him to the others in his part day preschool class, he is wide open. Even his teachers have said so. Is it too soon to worry?

Everyone says I have more patience than most, which I find as a gift, but lately I find that I have very little. Clark is wearing his momma out. He goes and goes and goes and doesn't stop until the wee hours of the night, no matter how hard we try. Yes, I said the wee hours of the night, my child STILL does not sleep through the night. If he does it is a rare occassion that I praise God for. We've been to the doctor on more than one occasion to try to determine why his sleeping patterns are so interrupted. Wanna know what the last doctor said, "Children who are very intellectual sometimes don't sleep well at night because their minds just do not know how to stop."Well he's too, I need a better excuse than that. As I type, he has been awake off and on since about 1:30, not sure why. I've just picked him up from his bed and I've got him laying beside me.

Clark has gotten to the point that if he doesn't get his way he screams, he'll kick, turn into to jello jigglers and throw one of those monster tantrums like the kid at the grocery store who didn't get those M & M's he really wanted. I'm not a tantrum kinda Mom, I just don't like them and I don't deal with them well. Makes me think SPOILED SPOILED SPOILED. Yes, that's some of Clark's problem (Only Child Syndrome), but he's not so spoiled that it has become a problem.To top it all off he is an only child who is currently living with his Grandparents, but even they are at a loss for what to do.

I have studied what scripture says about disciplining your children, I know what the writers say, I know what research shows, but friends I am really just at a loss. I know I'm probably a little harder on Clark than most, but I want him to grown up knowing that I mean business and that he is not the boss. I will ALWAYS love Clark but I want to raise him so that others might love him too. I have to find a medium that Clark and I can agree on NOW before I completely loose control of him.

Please don't think I am some kind of lunatic, I promise I am not. I am just at my wits end right now and worn out. I want to show my baby love, I wanna fill up his Love Tank, which I do all the time or at least I try to, but I am only one person. I have a lot of love to go around but I can only stretch it so thin (My love tank doesn't seem to be refilling to quick these days). I want to discipline him out of love and not out of anger. I want to do what is best NOW so we won't see this problem as a recurrence in the years to come. I believe that Clark really just needs a little bit of love and affection from his Daddy, that's the core of our problem. I'm hoping that once Breezy is home with us we'll start to see a little bit of change in his behavior, but until then I just need a little bit of encouragement and guidance.

Yall, I am back and recuperated! Hopefully, back to blogging more frequently too.
Things have been going pretty good for us these days besides the fact that if it rains anymore we'll be getting out the canoes. I was tempted on Saturday to get the skim board out, for Clark to play on, but I decided the water was run-off from the peanut field so it probably wasn't the best of ideas.

Our trip to Maryland was very productive and I was thankful for the opportunity to go for more than 2 or 3 days. It was nice to spend time with Clark, My Momma, My FAVORITE Aunt from Maryland and my Grandparents. Despite the fact that my Grandfather did not know who any of us were, it was still nice to visit with him. Hopefully Breezy will get the chance to FINALLY meet him before the time is too late (the delay in meeting is not intentional just never has worked out). Clark was a champ to and fro and as a reward he received a big box of Lego's that have kept him very busy!

Maryland Update

Friends-
I would ask that you would begin to pray today specifically for my Mother and I as we prepare to say goodbye to our Family in Maryland .We are amdist a situation that we knows could need to be taken care of sooner than later. We are in much anticipation.

Mom was in Maryland back in Jan. to visit with my Grandfather and since returning here for a 2nd visit she has noticed a significant downward spirial in the progression of his Alzheimers/Deminsia.

The first day we were here he thought that Mom was a man (and for those of you that know her, if you take a look at her chest you can't deny that she's a woman), and still after 6 days of visiting he still has no idea who any of us are. He refers to Clark as his "little friend" and has continued to call me that "pretty girls that keeps coming and going." Clark and I have been staying at my aunts ALOT and only going over to the Grands for a few hours at a time. There is WAY too much stuff for a 2 year old to get into. She also has a dog and 6 cats in the house.

Grandaddy has done and said some really crazy things since we've been here. For over an hour on Tuesday he sat in his chair repeating "Cindy Lou C-I-N-D-Y-L-O-U, where are you, Cindy Lou" he was also looking for Cinnamon(Cynthia/Cindi is my mom's name). We think that he's looking for my mom as a young girl and is just confused.

I found him dressing in my Grandma's clothes on Tuesday also. He took a long nap in the bed and we think he got up thinking it was Morning and was re-dressing for the day.

He remembers being in the Military like it was yesterday. He knows he was a Sailor for MANY long, hard years, but has told me twice that he was in the Navy for 64 years. He was active duty for 25 years and Civilian for 20 + years. He knows that Breezy is in the army and in the war, he knows that my cousin Corey is in the Air Force and he remembers that my cousin Mandee's husband John is in the Marines. Ask him about any of us girls and he has NO idea.

It's such a sad site for me to see, but I know that this could go on for a long time. He will be 87 this year and I must say up until last year when he had his Brain Surgery he was sharp as a nail. The anurisum (spelling ?) really did him in.

My mom is feeling a little torn about leaving tommorrow, but we know that there is not much we can do at this point. Besides his mind, physically he is still pretty good. He's a little unstable on his feet, but nothing holding onto a cane can't help. My 76 year old Grandmother is getting worn out though, and we know there will come a time for us to make "THAT" dreaded decision. We're just hoping that its not as soon as we think. We've visited the Home for Veterans here in Maryland and it is beautiful and very nice AND There is no waiting list at all. It would be our first pick.

I know this post dosen't make a lot of since but I just needed to get some of this off my chest. Tommorrow I will leave, knowing that this could be the last time I get to see him since I will be returing to Germany in July. Saying goodbye today could be one of the most difficult days of my life. I am praying for a peace that is overwhelming for both my mother and myself.

I've gotten alot of good photo's since I've been here and plan on posting them for you all to see. You'll love the action shots of Clark with his Big Big. They absolutely love one another.

Hi Friends

I haven't forgotten about you all. I've been very busy trying to get LOTS of school work done, finishing up dances in order to prepare for our recital in 5 weeks and lastly packing for a LONG car ride up North to see my beloved Grandparents. My mom and I are loaded up and are planning to haul out of Dothan around 3 a.m. We're leaving Daddy at home to take care of the dog-babies! He's not a good stay at home by his-selfer, but my Aunt and Uncle will keep a good check on him and the dog-babies.

I'd like to ask you to pray for me as we visit with my Grands. My Grandfather's Alzheimer's is quickly progressing and I am sure that he will not remember Clark or myself, but my biggest concern is that this could be the last time that I actually get to see him. In July I will head back to Germany and Wes and I are planning to keep our feet planted on European grounds until we have to return to the USA in 2010....Unless plans change otherwise. Don't worry communication is something that is not lacking between my Grands and I. My Grandma has gotten pretty computer savy in the last couple of years!

I'm looking forward to stopping at Cracker Barrell somewhere around South Carolina for Lunch. That always seems like the best part of the trip to me!!!!

We've got LOTS of snacks, the DVD player, books, toys, and the laptop to keep Clark busy. Its 10:45 p.m. now and he's still up. I'm going to let him stay awake until he crashes so that he'll sleep good in the car :-) I've got all of my CHD 202 and 203 assignments that I am planning to finish between tomorrow and the day that we finally decide to drive home. My plans are to finish up both of these classes this week so that I can concentrate particularly on my Creative Portfolio. Mom and I will take turns driving....if I can stay awake. Something about the car (even on short rides) makes me wanna sleep. I'm not a good car companion unless you like to drive in silence.

Breezy is doing good. In about 9 weeks he'll be heading home for some much needed r&r and we are really looking forward to some good family time together. By the time that he comes home he will have been gone approximately 10 months. We've got alot planned, but at the same time alot involves laying on the beach and playing at Mickey Mouses' Castle!!!

I'm working on a blog that I will bring to you later this week when I have time to sit and finish it. It'll be for my "Military Wife" friends out there!!! Stay Tuned.

Had problems saving.
Professor couldn't save either.
Decided to hit the print button so I could at least have a hard copy of the worksheet.
When doing so the ENTIRE system shut down.
Yes, friends I LOST everything.
Auto Recover did not do its job.
I had enough time left over to be at the CDC to pick Clark up, meaning no 2 hours to sit there and take the test all over again.

So tomorrow I head back to EOCC to take this test again. Man am I PISSED!

Time Flies When Your Too Busy to Think

I feel like this month is just flying by me.

I've not stopped long enough to think about what's going on around me, but I think my body is telling me different. I woke up this morning with an awful sore throat and one of the sinus headaches that makes you wanna stay buried under the covers ALL day. I hope its just a nasty sinus infection and not my yearly case of strep throat. I stayed inside most of the day only leaving long enough to make a run to the Wal-Mart for my favorite aunt who broke her foot last week, and to walk down the drive way to get the mail.

Last night Clark and I played campout in the downstairs family room. We got out the air mattress and watched lots of toons! I was trying to stay awake until 10:00 news came on so that I could catch up on the information about the Shooting Rampage in Geneva County and Kinston. It was just devestating to me. Breezy is pretty sure he worked with the fella Michael McClendon at Reliable Products. Pre-sleep was fun but Clark did not make a very good bed partner last night. He tossed and turned until about 5 a.m. and then he slept good until 9 a.m., but of course I was up at 8:00 to get my normal cleaning routine started!

Clark has been a wild child the last few days and its wearing me and my parents out. I'm not sure what we are doing different or if its just the change in the time/weather, etc? Any suggestions for taming a toddler going through the OH SO TERRIBLE 2's?

Just some Randomness: My calendar for June is quickly filling up. With the hopes that Breezy will be home the first week of June, we've got a trip to Orlando, 2nd week a trip o Daytona planned plus a trip to Atlanta for the Clark Family Reunion and lastly we'll finish up the month with MY BIRTHDAY!

Well my friends I'm off to finish up some assignments that are due on Friday and to study for 2 pretty tough test that I am taking at 8 a.m. in the morning.

That's been by phrase for the week.

Potty training has been going pretty good but I must tell you about Clark's newest fad.
Evidently he can not stand to have on poopie undies, so instead of telling his Mommy, he attempts to fix the problem himself. WHAT A MESS! It all started on Saturday morning when I found his undies in the trash, poop in the toilet and him washing his hands. He was so excited that he had "put it in the toilet". I couldn't help but laugh. Now, Saturday afternoon after his nap he comes running out of his room yelling "I got no pants on", now I was sure he had on his blue jeans when I put him in his bed. Sure enough! I found blue jeans by the toilet, poop in the toilet, DIRTY pull-up in the trash and my sneaky youngin had put on a clean pull-up. How about that for a 2 year old? This new fad, It's been an ongoing thing. I hope he outgrows this very soon!

Breezy is doing well. Still working the night shift, which has worked out very well for our communication. It will also be good when he comes home for his R&R b/c we will already be on the SAME schedule sleeping. I was told this week that my Solider should be home in early September! YAY!!! A new little PX has finally opened down on their camp which should make a life a litte easier on me. I won''t be constatly running to Wal-Mart and the Post Office to send boxes. Don't get me wrong, I will send ANYTHING that will help make Breezy's life a little easier, even if it means going to the post office and waiting in line once a week. Also, Breezy will be moving from a tent full of his Company to 2 man Units. They look like little storage rooms, but better than 30 guys. Finally a little bit of privacy and maybe even a full nights sleep too :-).

This weekend my best friend is coming for a visit and I am so excitied to see her. It was September when I saw her last so its been way to long. We're still holding on to each other's Christmas presents. We've got a lot of fun things planned.

3. Yard Sale at Darby's house tommorow (all of you should come too)
4. Getting my stuff organized a little in storage (Cleaning Up and OUT)

Other than that I figured out this week that since end of July 2008 I have lost a total of 22 pds. I know that dosent sound like a lot to some but it was 4 pants sizes (so far) for me which means more than the numbers. I've lost 9 in the last month on weight watchers but more inches than anything. I've ordered my swimsuit for this year and I'm determined to look good in it by the end of MAY when Breezy comes home and we head to Mickey's House and the Beach!!!

We'll I'm off to the grocery store again. My favorite Aunt fell on Wednesday and broke her foot so I'm going to run some errands for her this morning. Then we're off to McD's to play on the playground for a while!!!

Just to Catch Up

Clark thinks he is a Ninja! Check out the headband(s) he's wearing!

New sheets from TJ Maxx. I got them for a steal, 500 Thread Count for 39.00. Can't beat that when the original price was 70.00. Breezy isn't going to know what to think when he comes home to his "Palace" back in Germany and gets to sleep with his Queen on something other than 200-300 count!! The brown pillow with the white dots is the print of our new quilt and shams. I made that purchase at TJ Maxx about 3 weeks ago. Original cost of all items was 179. I paid a little under 100.00 for 3 pieces.

Last week Clark decided he wanted to plant a "Garden" but refused to let me put his play clothes on before going outside. I decided it wasn't worth the hassle, the weather was gorgeous and I was ready for a little break. Today I ran to Lowe's to pick up some Temporary Blinds for my bedroom and came across the cutest little Diego gardening tools for children. We'll be planting some flowers for Grammy and BoBo on Friday if everyone is feeling up to par.

Those two things together mean:

Staying home (unless you desperately need to make a run to TJ Maxx),
No time at the gym to release stress that is slowly but surely taking over your entire body,
Sleeping as much as possible since the 2 year old can not sleep at night

I must ask you to pray with me and Breezy. We have submitted papers to extend our tour in Germany for another year. We were both trying to make the decision on our, but last night after a long phone conversation (which seldomly ever happens) we decided that the only way we would ever know if we were in obedience to God's Will was to just give it to Him like we should have done in the beginning. So, the papers are being submitted on Faith. The outcome will be conformation for us. (My Life As a Military Wife story coming too on this topic).

My Daddy had an epidural today in his back and is in a lot of discomfort. Clark can not understand why BoBo can't pick him up and love him like he always does. Hopefully he will be feeling like a new man in a few days.

KIDSMARKET...
If you haven't gone and you have boys sizes 0-18 months or girlies of all sizes then you should definitely hit the road. I didn't find much in the 2-4t boys but there was tons of smaller sizes. It is being held in the Old Michael's building at Northside Mall.
Word of advice if you do decide to go...Don't take your children, It's crowded!!!!

Down in the Swamp

Hi friends!

Clark and I made it safely down to the Swamp to spend the weekend with the Birthday Girl, Breezy's mom. Our trip was very easy this time. Clark watched a movie and slept. I made one stop in Tally to quiet a screaming toddler who was fighting his sleep tooth and nail, then we were high sailing from there! We left around 9:30 a.m. and arrived around 1:30 p.m. which means I made very good time despite all the Police on the road. When we arrived Clark was thrilled to give his MeMa a new floral arrangement we had made and to see his Papa in his big chair!

Last evening my sister in law came over with 3 of her 4 children, Steph 18, Chris, 12 and Logan 1.5. Clark and Logan enjoy playing together and it is really alot of fun to watch them and to listen to their excitiment. MeMa was letting the boys ride their tricycles in the house, round and round. She said "You have to pick your battles" (Clark and Logan are the 7th and 8th grandchildren), my SIL piped in and said "No Mom, after 4 children and 9 Grands you're worn out"! I got a good laugh. I love spending time with my neices and nephews and am thankful that I have gotten this oppurtunity to spend so much time with them.

Dinner was also EXCELLENT. My MIL and I are both doing/maintaining Weight Watchers so she had prepared to feed me good but RIGHT. We had marinated/grilled pork chops, stewed squash with onions and white acre peas YUM-O!!!! I knew I had saved all my points for dinner for some reason :-)

Ok so this is a "Not Me Monday" kinda ordeal, even though it didn't happen on a Monday. On Thursday I dropped Clark off at the Preschool and then ran over to the Clinic to see about getting some new Birth Control because the new ones that I had started were making me nuts....literally NUTS. The nurse comes in, I explain the situation and she says that I must go to the Lab and take a Pregnancy test...Now my friends, I continue to explain to her "the ONLY way I can be pregnant is if it is the Virgin Birth all over again". She still need more of an explanation so I proceed...My Husband is in the Sand Box Mam' I'm NOT pregnant. She then says, "Are you sure"..YES I AM SURE. I finally just gave in and said "OK give me the cup and I'll go pee in it." Around 4 p.m. that afternoon she called and said "I was just calling to let you know that your test came back negative." I wanted to say to her I TOLD YOU SO, but I refrained and said thank you is my new prescription ready to be picked up!!!!

Next on my list of No, Not Me's....On Wednesday I did NOT find my son trying to hide his poopie pants from me. Clark told me he wanted to go PeePee by himself, so I told him to go ahead, I would be there in a minute to help. I waited and then went in to find him Pull Up Off, and cleaning poop off his legs. He knew that if I found poopie in his pants that I would be upset and even better he wouldn't get a potty prize. He was trying to hide it. He had even dumped the poopie from his pull up into the toilet and was getting ready to flush it down. CAUGHT YA!!!

Breezy is back at his base now after 5 days of rest/studying away. I missed not talking to him Via the Web-Cam but I LOVED hearing his voice on the other end of the phone line. Clark enjoys talking to his Daddy too! I just love hearing him tell Breezy "I Love You Daddy"!!!! Breezy is heading to the promotion board on the 25th so if you have the time between now and then say a little prayer for him PLEASE!!!

We'll I'm off to get ready to spend the day with the Birthday Girl (Manicure and Lunch) and to take my lovely niece to look for a prom dress!!!
