And He said it Again........

Wednesday night services at church are becoming a very important part of my weekly routine. I am so glad that we have a wonderful Chaplin who desires for our congregation to be in deeper fellowship with our Father. Last night was a great time of prayer, but what I left with was the devotion that my dear friend Ron shared with us from 2 Corinthians 12:7-10.

"Three times I pleaded with God to take it away from me. But he said to me,
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (v.9)

Sufficient in the Greek means "more than enough". So when you read verse 9 instead of using sufficient say "His Grace is more than enough". Yes, we ask for things over and over again, but when will we ever understand that indeed His grace is more than enough. We truly have been given all we need. He can pour out his grace upon us and yet we still can't seem to be filled enough to be completely in satisfaction....we still want MORE. As I spent more time thinking about having "More than Enough" I began to think about the way that we as American's live. We talked about this some during the devotion time, but it just really continued to stick with me into the evening and even today. We never have enough of anything, we are always longing for something more.
We need more time, more money, but more importantly material things. We can never settle with what we already have. We tend to ask for MORE blessings to be poured out in our lives, but have we taken the time to thank Him or to enjoy the blessings that He has already poured out.
I left with a desire to be MORE satisfied with what I have and to look for things that HE desires to find me more satisfied with.
Don't miss understand what I am saying, I am just as bad about doing this.
*There isn't enough time in the day to get everything that needs to be done, finished, but there comes a point in our day that we all should just sit in the stillness and be alone with him. That is more than enough!
*I am OBSESSED with shopping (especially online and on ebay) for my son. But last night I came to realize that he already has MORE THAN ENOUGH. Yes, I can desire for him to be the best dressed kid in Illesheim, Germany but I do NOT have to over indulge in those material things. He is just a kid and he dosen't know the difference anyways. He is the best (just like the rest) in the eyes of the Father.
(Those are just 2 of my greatest weaknesses)

This song has been in my head all day, but I think its a pretty good reminder.

Enough
By: Chris Tomlin

All of You is more than enough for all of me
For every thirst and every need
You satisfy me with Your love
And all I have in You is more than enough

You are my supply
My breath of life
And still more awesome than I know
You are my reward
worth living for
And still more awesome than I know

All of You is more than enough for all of me
For every thirst and every need
You satisfy me with Your love
And all I have in You is more than enough

You’re my sacrifice
Of greatest price
And still more awesome than I know
You’re the coming King

You are everything

And still more awesome than I know

More than all I want
More than all I need
You are more than enough for me
More than all I know
More than all I can say
You are more than enough for me

A Little Past Due...Yet Again

Things have not slowed down for me in the last 2 weeks. Here's a little run down of how things have have gone....

Wes was transfered to Alpha Co and has been on nights the last 4 weeks (only 2 in A. Co)

Clarke and I along with my friend Erin {or E as Clarke says} spent 3 wonderful days at Edelweiss Lodge and Resort in Garmisch, Germany. As soon as I get a cable for my camera I will surely post some of the sites. They are to die for. Wes was suppose to go but his leave was pulled at the last minute so E took his place for the weekend.

I booked our Plane Tickets to head back to Alabama and Florida YAY!!!!! We will leave Germany on 27 Feb and return back on 20 March. Just in time for Easter with our Church Family.

Clarke has been sick for about a week now with a cold/teething and now we're thinking he may have Pink Eye. Yuck!

PWOC is still amazing. We had our "All You Need Is Love" Valentines Program Day on the 12th and we had 28 amazing ladies in attendance. It was beautiful and the message that was spoken on "Being a WHOLE Woman" was just what my heart needed to hear. Besides the program day, each week at PWOC we are having new ladies attend which makes me excited. I love to see ladies in Fellowship with other believers but more importantly longing to dig in deeper into God's glorious Word.

Valentines Day- Just an ordinary day for Wes and I. Of course he had to work, but surprised me and Clarke with a treat when he came home from lunch, cards and heart shaped marshmallows (Clark LOVES them). I gave him a certificate for a trip to the golf course. Wes and our friend Greg each received one so that they could go together. He gave me $$ to go shopping at my favorite store here in Germany IKEA!!! We had dinner at home from our only little Chinese restaurant here the Mandarin. We just had a relaxing evening at home as a family :-)

So, I think we're pretty caught up.
Yesterday Iris and I spent most all day at IKEA. It was so nice. We got there around 12 and left around 5:30ish. I got Wesley a nice book shelf to put all of his DVD's on, and Clark a shelf that hold tubs for his room (for his crayons, trucks/cars, stuffed animals and books). I made a few other small purchases, but nothing to write home about!

Again as soon as I have access to the photos on my camera I will be posting pics for you all to see of the past few weeks. I will TRY not to go MIA for longer than a few days again. Cut me some slack though I've had a sick "I want My Mommy" baby for over a week and had almost no time for myself.

A Weight Has Been Lifted!

We now have a Wednesday night Prayer Service at our Chapel on post and I finally had the oppurtunity to attend last night. It was such a beautiful time of fellowship, praise and prayer. We were small in attendance but BIG in our hearts. This time of small group prayer was a time that I wasn't looking forward to (I don't like for people to know all of my buisness), but I really had something heavy on my heart that I've needed to give to the Lord for sometime and have chosen to just let it fester inside. You see, Wes and I miscarried on Christmas Day after 10 weeks of pregnancy and since then I have been so angry because something that was ordained in the beginning to be OURS was taken away. I've asked why over and over again but I think because of my selfishness being in the way I've been unavailable to hear the answers that the Father has had for me.

I went into the prayer time with these thoughts and feelings on my heart.
-I am angry, not necessarily at God but just angry at the fact that he has taken away something that was suppose to be MINE.
-My joy is gone
-My relationship with my heavenly Father is suffering because of my selfishness. The Father IS indeed speaking to me, but I am choosing not to listen at this time.
-I feel like nobody understands, they've not been where I am, so therefore I'll just keep it all bottled up inside until I can't anymore.

I left the prayer time with these thoughts and feelings IN my heart.

-"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Matthew 6:21

"The Lord knows those who are his,"
2 Timothy 2:19

"I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy. v.22 So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you WILL rejoice and no one will take your joy away. v.23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. v. 24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
John 16:20,22-24

"I am the good shepherd, I KNOW my sheep, and my sheep know me-"
John 10:14

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.""
Jeremiah 29:11

JESUS ASKED WHY TOO...I'm not the only one :-)

My GOD is ALL knowing.

Just as scripture promises the Lord has NO intentions of hurting me or my family to the point that I would so willingly turn my back on Him. Joy may be scarce in my life right now, but it is not gone for good. In HIS most perfect timing it will be renewed and absolutely complete, and greater than ever. My Father must have known something about me that I was unaware of. He must of known that my body could not physically carry a baby to full term without there being problems in the long run or that there was something wrong with our little one and it would be best to just go ahead and bring him/her home to Heaven to be healed. It was all done to OUR benefit and to bring glory to the kingdom.

Lastly, one of my most precious sisters in Christ here in Germany Carla DID know how I felt,
she has been where I am today and was there herself only a few short months ago. She completely understands and was such an encouragement to me. I know now that because I have a Comforter (who was there before the hard times began) to carry me through, I will make it. I am NOT in this alone. I have an amazing husband and ONE precious baby boy that is ALL MINE (Yes, we have dedicated him to the Lord and we will continue to do so DAILY), I have been given the amazing privilege of begin his Mommy for a long, long time. Here is the awesome thing that God showed me through all of this........ I have one perfect child who is healthy, energetic and was ordained before he was conceived to one day be a Follower of the Lord Jesus. If Clark is all we ever have, he will be MORE than enough!!!!!

Jesus Loves Me this I know
For the Bible tell me So
Little ones to him belong
They are weak and He is Strong
Yes, Jesus loves me
Yes, Jesus loves me
Yes, Jesus love me
The Bible tells me So

To the Illesheim Tax Office We Shall Go

Tommorrow Wes and I FINALLY have an appointment to get our 2007 Taxes done.
This year I was smart and made an appointment instead of doing what everyone else does....WALKING IN! They promise if you have an appointment you will be seen at your appointment time or within the 1/2 hour after your scheduled time.
We've been waiting to get our W-2's since like October so that we could get to the Tax Office the minute they opened their doors in January so that we can get our $1500.00 plane tickets booked back to the States. We're looking forward to heading back as a family.
So PLEASE cross your fingers and say a little prayer for us that we can get in that office tommorrow get buisness taken care of and in the next 7-10 days get our tickets taken care of.
That is if the State of Alabama dosen't make us pay an arm and a leg to them. We'll see. I'll let you know tommorrow :-)
